The answer to the question; "Why are France and Germany pro Iraq" is very simple. They both have large oil contracts with Iraq and they know that if the United States take over Iraq, they can say "Bye BYe" to those contracts which most likely would be taken over by US companies. Furthermore, some new information came to light within the past 48 hours; it seems that France has been selling spare parts to Iraq to fix up their French Mirage jet fighter, the story has been broke by the Washington Post. If confirmed it would make France look pretty dumb in the eye of world opinion.
And yes Rip, you are right. One of my last analysis stated that around 2050, France and Belgium would most likely have a Muslim majority. As for Germany, I don't think they'll let the Arabs take over, they are a proud people (we found out the hard way ): ) unlike the French who are spineless.
