BITCOIN kills sales ratio!... this is a conclusion beaner came up with after reading below article and listening to this thread.

Interesting.

Have you considered that simply offering ANY secondary payment option would change ratios?

No? Didn't think so.

Carry on.

But either way, it's OK, he's just on a high/drunk rampage. Again. And he won't be able to stop himself posting nonsense about me, and I'll get him banned. Again.

Interesting read. Since testing for the past 3 weeks, our results are somewhat better.
40SomethingMag went from 1:718 to 1:599;
XLGirls went from 1:713 to 1:633;
Scoreland went from 1:562 to 1:454.
February isn't a great month to test change of options, specially with shorter month and V-day right smack in the middle, but even so, our results were not so bad.

Can we get back to bitcoin discussion causing damage, or not causing damage?

A summary of this thread through my eyes. Are we talking about bitcoin causing damage or what?

Relentless 03-06-2014 06:39 AM

We are talking about whether adding Bitcoin to a site is actually helpful right now beyond the PR value of saying you added it.

That is what I thought the thread was about. Just the last page or 2 seemed to be about Porn Nerd having a hard name to pronounce and damianJ giving infinite wisdom.

Back to the topic:

The first 3 pages of this thread seemed to be about justifying a drop in sales because of bitcoin. Then, someone posted positive results and not one person has commented on it except me.

I also see people adding bitcoin daily to there possibility of billing solutions and it seems to be working for the majority. Why did JT have such a bad experience?

I think it is in the way it was portrayed. i.e. the design. But I would have no idea of the page because it obviously is no longer up. Maybe some more people can chime in with adding bitcoin option? I know people are doing it because I just got an email that MetArt is now accepting bitcoin from my banned xbiz account :thumbsup :1orglaugh

JT knows tubes. Not Bitcoin.

For optimal results, you don't just toss a Bitcoin option on your join page and expect everyone to know what it is. You have to target people who actually use Bitcoins. He targets tubes for traffic, but didn't target Bitcoin users for Bitcoin payments.

It very well may have been the design, no idea to know what caused his ratios to drop. But I do believe he had negative results, that's why it's gone. If he did well, he wouldn't have removed it.

No one I know is getting rich from Bitcoin members, but sales do come in. We get them, as do several others I know who offer it as an option. But we target Bitcoin users directly.

Ah like a drug dealer eh? A little taste then I'm hooked? Clever, clever....:)

Let me get a few more little duckies in a nice row first but we may be communicating. This new operation of mine will lead me into several unknown territiories so would appreciate the feedback/help.

As far as the original point of this thread goes: adding Bitcoin apparently helps some websites while hurts others. So basically like a lot of things. :)

Good advice from Famian, yes. He's got a PR mind and his suggestions are in line with ideas I have had so it was helpful.

What kind of increase have you seen over time in the number of sales?

"Our average sales ratio on casting.xxx went from 1:758 to 1:1720 during the 7 days that Bitcoin was live on our join forms and the cryptocurrency did not generate a single sale," explained RUC's JT. "We tried testing it for 24 hours on another site in our network, PublicAgent.com, with similar results, removed it and saw our ratios improve without it again. Maybe it's because 98 percent of the world have a negative view of Bitcoin through what's been written in the media, and they temporarily lost confidence in my site when they saw Bitcoin. We take consumer trust very seriously and see Bitcoin as something that was diluting the value of our brands."

We have just launched our 17th website and now have an active member database of more than 23,000 paying members," added JT. "The initial phase of the affiliate program rollout included the launch of more than a dozen top quality exclusive video sites. Now we are extending our competitive advantage by securing premier tube domains for our internal marketing, creating quality tours and having our sites WebsiteSecure.org certified. I believe the key factor in our growth thus far, and in our continued growth moving forward, is our ability to give people what they already want—and it appears they do not want to use Bitcoin, or even to see an offer to accept Bitcoin."
When the world and with that the mainstream media is controlled by banks, it's logical that negative news is always being spread by said media. It's the personal well oiled propaganda machine for these crooked banks. 99% of the people believe the mainstream media without question, that's why consumers don't trust bitcoin.

Hope none of the paysites accepting BTC had theirs in MtGox.. :Oh crap

some people will only pay using paypal and nothing else. I have it set up for people who will only use bitcoin. I would not get a sale anyway so I take it as better then nothing
