New Calif. ?Condoms in Porn? Bill Adds Onerous Provisions

SACRAMENTO, Calif. ? A new bill pending before the California legislature not only would require the use of condoms by all adult film performers, but also add a custodian of records, hepatitis B vaccinations and coverage of performers? health testing to a studio?s production costs.

Assembly Member Isadore Hall III [D-Compton] introduced the new bill, AB 1576, Jan. 30. The proposed legislation represents Hall?s third attempt in less than one year to gain approval for statewide mandatory barrier protection. In 2013, Hall introduced AB 332 and AB 640, both of which died in committee.

Sims pleaded no contest to embezzling $800,000 of the church?s money in 2010, and the Judge barred him from worshipping at the location.

Apparently Hall is ambitious too - he has expressed interest in running against Gavin Newsom for Lt Governor of California.

It will not matter that it was consensual. It will not matter that he?s so disease free, he?s never even had a common cold. Every regulatory body in the state is going to fine that dentist, if not outright yank his license.

If Kink is smart, its going to learn from Treasure Island?s mistake, pay the fine, and lay low. Some guy who keeps guns and coke in his office and whose business plan is to legally beat the snot out of, humiliate, and piss on his employees is just asking for trouble from an OSHA standpoint.

Remember that even boxers and MMA fighters have to wear protective gear and have doctors and ambulances on site and the goal in those businesses is to knock someone out.

When you are clearly running a business that is on the edge, even in porn, and you challenge the authorities, you risk the authorities taking a closer look at what you do and deciding they don?t like the way you do it.

thats fucking hilarious and sad (his educational credentials and his involvement in that church). nothing shocks me in CA anymore. the state is beyond as corrupt as it gets, which is to be expected in any state where the government is incredibly large.

i always tell people, if CA is so liberal, then why did they ban gay marriage? answer: corruption. with enough $, you can write your own laws in this state, and AHF is basically proof of that. they pay people to sit outside ralphs to collect signatures. then they dedicate a large advertising budget during election season or team up with idiot politicians who have sketchy backgrounds. they are likely paying people right now to sit outside ralphs to collect signatures for their next political initiative.

someone should count up how many lawsuits / disputes AHF has been involved with as a charity. The ones I can remember: Gilead, the city of Miami (over them not letting them paint their building pink), the city of LA (on multiple occasions), and there has to be more... quite a litigious record for a non-profit.

Isadore Hall is a clever politician. He is building some powerful alliances. The condom issue has nothing whatsoever to do with his district, and everything to do with his religious beliefs and his future political ambitions.

Hello. You often refer to stats showing terrible rates of STI infection in the adult industry as compared to the general population. Can you please give us the source of those statistics? I have no idea where to look for that information but you seem to have a firm grip on source material. No, this attack is not from the religious right, it comes from the far left, and that includes Mr. Hall. The left dreams of new ways to control people, and attacks against the industry are an endless source of publicity and fund raising. AHF founder claims he gets more attention and fund raising from his attacks on the adult industry than from any other money raising campaign. Sex sells. Stories in the news about the porn industry gets eyeballs - gets everyone's attention. Everyone responds to sex. Free publicity. And, we are a victim for whom no one feels sorry and no politician will come to our defense. We are an endless source of money and attention. Even if you attack back it gets them free publicity and more money raising. But this attack is not coming from the religious right, it comes from the left. The left, got it?
