California upping "condoms in porn" stakes

New Calif. ?Condoms in Porn? Bill Adds Onerous Provisions

SACRAMENTO, Calif. ? A new bill pending before the California legislature not only would require the use of condoms by all adult film performers, but also add a custodian of records, hepatitis B vaccinations and coverage of performers? health testing to a studio?s production costs.

Assembly Member Isadore Hall III [D-Compton] introduced the new bill, AB 1576, Jan. 30. The proposed legislation represents Hall?s third attempt in less than one year to gain approval for statewide mandatory barrier protection. In 2013, Hall introduced AB 332 and AB 640, both of which died in committee.

Porn can be shot anywhere. Not legal in LA any more? No problem. Go anywhere else and shoot porn, then write it off as a business expense.

In case you are wondering who is behind this:

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8091/8...a4b702ae_z.jpg

Isadore Hall III, is an unmarried real estate broker and career politician from Compton (first elected to local office 2 years out of college), who has diploma mill education credentials (Phoenix Univ, and National Univ), and is a member of the ministerial team at the Compton Double Rock Missionary Baptist Church (he earned a Ph.d in Theology from Next Dimension Bible College):

Quote:

COMPTON?The ongoing saga of the Double Rock Baptist Church in Compton took a turn for the worse on Sunday, Feb. 5, as members arrived to attend services, only to find out that Pastor Joshua Sims locked up the church and moved to another location.

Sims pleaded no contest to embezzling $800,000 of the church?s money in 2010, and the Judge barred him from worshipping at the location.
Apparently Hall is ambitious too - he has expressed interest in running against Gavin Newsom for Lt Governor of California.

When you shoot often - 5-10 talent per week say..how do you pull that off. Fly them all out - or buses?

About 60 percent make it to the airport on fly outs - I've burnt a lot of tickets.

That bill is rather meaningless considering that OSHA has already fined kink.com over 70K and there are three more inspections that were done at Kink that are open so expect three more fines....and Kink is just the beginning

the whole story is of course on

Worthy of a new thread... :helpme

In this scene, Xander repeatedly shoved a bleeding penis in her mouth. This is not a politically-motivated statement. Xander has said he cut his dick, he was bleeding, and they kept at the scene.

She was potentially exposed to more than HIV. Moreover, she was injured on that set seriously enough that she had to go to the emergency room for treatment after ? have you seen the photos of her breasts?

That?s not politically-motivated. Peter Ackworth has publicly stated that things happened on that set that should not have happened and that it caused him to rethink his onset practices. I?m going to assume that Ackworth was not politically-motivated when he criticized his own set.

Here?s the reverse situation. You?re in the dentists office. He?s probing your teeth with that metal probe and accidentally slices through his latex glove, pierces the skin on a finger and starts to bleed through the glove into your mouth.

He says to you: Hey, I need to get a new pair of gloves because I?ve cut myself. But don?t worry, I was tested two weeks ago for HIV. You?ve got nothing to worry about. You say: Look, doc, I?m late for work already. It?s just a little blood. Let?s continue. I?ll spit, not swallow.

It will not matter that it was consensual. It will not matter that he?s so disease free, he?s never even had a common cold. Every regulatory body in the state is going to fine that dentist, if not outright yank his license.

If Kink is smart, its going to learn from Treasure Island?s mistake, pay the fine, and lay low. Some guy who keeps guns and coke in his office and whose business plan is to legally beat the snot out of, humiliate, and piss on his employees is just asking for trouble from an OSHA standpoint.

Remember that even boxers and MMA fighters have to wear protective gear and have doctors and ambulances on site and the goal in those businesses is to knock someone out.

When you are clearly running a business that is on the edge, even in porn, and you challenge the authorities, you risk the authorities taking a closer look at what you do and deciding they don?t like the way you do it.

Assemblyman Isadore Hall III should be more concerned with all the STD infested crack whores on the streets of Compton than the porn industry.

thats fucking hilarious and sad (his educational credentials and his involvement in that church). nothing shocks me in CA anymore. the state is beyond as corrupt as it gets, which is to be expected in any state where the government is incredibly large.

i always tell people, if CA is so liberal, then why did they ban gay marriage? answer: corruption. with enough $, you can write your own laws in this state, and AHF is basically proof of that. they pay people to sit outside ralphs to collect signatures. then they dedicate a large advertising budget during election season or team up with idiot politicians who have sketchy backgrounds. they are likely paying people right now to sit outside ralphs to collect signatures for their next political initiative.

someone should count up how many lawsuits / disputes AHF has been involved with as a charity. The ones I can remember: Gilead, the city of Miami (over them not letting them paint their building pink), the city of LA (on multiple occasions), and there has to be more... quite a litigious record for a non-profit.

Isadore Hall is a clever politician. He is building some powerful alliances. The condom issue has nothing whatsoever to do with his district, and everything to do with his religious beliefs and his future political ambitions.

NBA All-Star Welcome Party Hosted by Assemblyman Isadore Hall III at Broadway Bar in Los Angeles

Hall has brought a lot of new development and jobs to Compton, so he has a strong base:

Quote:

Developed Compton's $80M Shopping Center with Best Buy, Home Depot, Target, Staples, Marshalls and a 24-Hour Sports Center.
Created over 1000 new jobs for local residents.
Developed a $20M Senior Citizens Recreation Center and three new, gated housing communities.
Funded youth programs and added after-school services.
Secured "Enterprise Zone" designation for Compton, bringing millions of dollars to the city.
Reduced crime by 50%.
Passed a balanced city budget on time with notable reserves.
Hired additional code-enforcement officers to keep our community clean and curb urban blight.
Reduced graffiti substantially.
Provided raises for our city workforce.
Quote:

Isadore Hall received 90.0% of his campaign contributions ($1,146,271) from outside his district. (Rank: 19 out of 119 members of Assembly and Senate.)
The adult industry is a disenfranchised minority, so we are an easy target for politicians of either political stripe.

Of course, our cause is not helped when things go on like what happened on Kink's set that led to their $78k fine. :disgust

Hello. You often refer to stats showing terrible rates of STI infection in the adult industry as compared to the general population. Can you please give us the source of those statistics? I have no idea where to look for that information but you seem to have a firm grip on source material. Thank you, much appreciated considering what is currently going on, we should all educate ourselves.

Just because CA people are liberal, doesn't mean they want to change what "marriage" is.

Industry under attack

"Isadore Hall is a clever politician. He is building some powerful alliances. The condom issue has nothing whatsoever to do with his district, and everything to do with his religious beliefs and his future political ambitions."

No, this attack is not from the religious right, it comes from the far left, and that includes Mr. Hall. The left dreams of new ways to control people, and attacks against the industry are an endless source of publicity and fund raising. AHF founder claims he gets more attention and fund raising from his attacks on the adult industry than from any other money raising campaign. Sex sells. Stories in the news about the porn industry gets eyeballs - gets everyone's attention. Everyone responds to sex. Free publicity. And, we are a victim for whom no one feels sorry and no politician will come to our defense. We are an endless source of money and attention. Even if you attack back it gets them free publicity and more money raising. But this attack is not coming from the religious right, it comes from the left. The left, got it? As Obama says, "Elections have consequences". California is a one party state, and that party is not what you folks like to refer to as the "religious right wing". It is the left, left, left, left. And there is more to come in every area of your personal and business lives. $100 billion bullet train to nowhere in the central valley. Permits and regulations for every aspect of your life. You hate the right, but look what you got. I don't believe Mr. Hall even cares about porn one way or another, it is a source of publicity, fund raising and fun to regulate. Crack whores in Compton and violent crime are not something to be associated with, but porn stars always get a smile, peoples' attention and good evening news. Remember what Obama says; "Elections have consequences".
