I'd offer a different reason. It's on MSNBC all day (and CNN, and alot on CTV), because its tending. Everyone is talking about it and everyone is tuning in which of course means more money for them. If Lindsay Lohan fell flat on her face and it was caught on camera people would be talking about that all day. Here's a seemingly great guy that everyone on both sides of the fence likes, who may have done something petty but that may cost him his career. It's interesting television.

her second biggest ruin was her 1993 health care law. Her husband put her in total command of that. It was her big break, & it was a disaster.

there are smaller fish after that related to her career in arkansas, such as the destruction of the rose law firm & her investment in whitewater development corporation.

I am happy to hear what she has accomplished to compensate for all this failure.

Heard today that CBS, NBC, and ABC have given 17 times more news coverage to Christie and this local story then they did to Obama and the IRS targeting his political opponents.

It is kind of a double standard at play here.

When Nixon targeted his opponents using the IRS, the press was all over it.

when you have a town that sits on one side of the worlds busiest bridge into the nations largest city - and you shut down the access to 1 single lane - you cause gridlock on a massive scale throughout the entire town - nearly every street was clogged and the whole city was paralyzed for 4 days (it's clear from the leaked transcripts that they intended it to go far beyond the 4 days)...that is about as bad as you could possibly fuck over a city/mayor.

apparently it took up to 4 hours for some people to get into NYC just a couple miles away - this is so dirty, so illegal, so petty...so STUPID that Christies political career is basically over - no way can he keep his henchmen gagged when they have already offered to turn on him for immunity...one more little revelation implicating him and he will lose any hope of higher office and most likely have to resign as Governor

A mayors primary job is to keep his town running smoothly - first day of school and kids were in cars/buses 3-4 hours to get to school - the whole city of Fort Lee was jammed solid and nothing is more maddening that gridlock traffic - I can't think of many things that could fuck a mayor up more than this shit - he was calling and emailing and begging for an explanation from day one and their smug texts to each other proves they were enjoying letting the mayor twist in the wind google the "radio silence" quote - there was a calculated plot to cause mayhem in Fort Lee. Any sane person can easily see Christie is lying through his fat fucking cheeks when he says he has no knowledge of this - his press conference was so full of holes and obvious half truths...he ordered the lanes closed and everyone knows it - the thought that his closest advisers conspired to do this crime on their own is laughable.

Yes his political career will continue IF he has sufficiently engendered loyalty from his henchmen for them to let their professional lives be ruined, their future job prospects non-existent, and they have the balls to sit under oath and either lie or plead the 5th - this is going to be very fun to see that cunt Kelley take the stand and protect her monstrous boss who just savaged her and threw her under a moving train.

Just think of the bridge going from 4 lanes down to 1 lane as a blackout that affects 3/4ths of your city, your private businesses, schools, everything. How much money does that equal?
