If the corporations behind this agreement get their way, the world will change overnight, and it will not be for the better.

Food and Pharmaceutical Monopolization - Seed and Cell Ownership - Massive Internet Restrictions - Lower Labor Pay - Less US Manufacturing (as if that is even possible) - Long Term Patents - CORPORATE CONTROL OF GOVERNMENTS - This trade agreement is being decided in secret, and by the heads of the world's largest corporations. People need to know more about this.

More like center-right corporate shill. Remember, in 2008, Obama's biggest donors were the Too Big To Fail banks. Isn't it interesting that there were no prosecutions in the wake of the biggest financial fraud ever? But yeah, he's some radical "leftist"

                  TPP is seriously bad news.

not necessarily.. if it's as bad as it is made out to be, could be one of those 'straws' we're so desperately needing

Corporations (via their shills in the USTR office) are basically negotiating & writing the framework, and legislators aren't even allowed to look at it? This does not pass the smell test.

beg to differ, though instead of saying TBTF banks, I should have said "wall st" in general. http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/in...&cid=N00009638

1 Lawyers/Law Firms $46,988,063 (of course, lawyers & lobbyists can represent any industry)

                                        18 Commercial Banks $3,421,453
Just my opinion, but I think it's fair to combine these 3, and that would total $27 mil.

                                        and..
                                        10 Computers/Internet $9,744,738

So I guess it depends on how you want to slice up the numbers. The big wild card is the nearly $50mil donated by lawyers/lobbyists as that is impossibly vague.

Bill Moyers on why the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement is death for democracy

                                            from the piece...

It?s not really hard to understand TPP though, once you see the pattern ? TPP puts the ruling class (and the corporations they control) in charge of most aspects of our economic and regulatory life. It rewrites the laws of every nation that signs it, all to increase the wealth of our pathological betters. We just need more people saying that.

                                            more here...
