So almost a week ago, I posted a thread with a poll where everyone could have a guess at which image got the highest CTR. Here's the link: https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1121723

Surprisingly, only a minority (14,52%) got it right. Here is the image again:

The winner is: Image 3

Here's a table with the exact number of impressions and clicks.

Image 3 is the clear winner and image 2 and 1 aren't far behind. The gap between the other 3 is quite big though. I'm surprised that image 5 and 6 did so bad.

however, not surprising with the results as you've already shown the user "all the goods" in the bottom few pictures, which #1,2 and 3 are inciting to people to want to see more.

The targeted sites didn't include any gay sites and were more or less the same for all images.

I haven't seen the original thread, but , a few years ago, i was buying TGP spots (it's all died now), but, i have learned whats work and what doesn't.
So, 4,5,6 was clear to me that it wont work.

The one thing I would ask which I was not sure of, did the images appear just as you've shown them here as 1 big pic, and if they did it's possible that if the photos were in a different order you would get different results.

If pic 6 was in the number 1 position for example I got to believe it would have had a lot more hits..

Could be many variations depending on the position of each pic within larger one...

There are TONS of variables that come to play when testing CTR. You really need multiple tests to come to conclusions. Underwear color (or lack of) can make a huge difference.

All 6 images were inserted into the PlugRush feed system. Then they got rotated and shown on hundreds of different sites. The sheer number of sites, countries and impressions make it unlikely that the order they were started in makes any difference.

I agree there are many variables, but this is just a game to test people's intuition and experience.

If anyone is really good at Photoshop and wants to try the winning image with multiple underwear colors, pm me and I'll run them in a 2nd experiment.
