I have a local credit union where i used to do a small loan each month for a few hundred dollars ($500) then pay it back. They reported each one to the credit bureaus i did this this for like a year and a half, I paid off/settled negative accounts, then stopped using the credit. I can walk in and get any amount there i want as long as i have 20% collateral.

Is the idea of not having to/not wanting to use credit really that foreign to you?

I went from 5 down to 1 revolving account and I couldn't be happier. Fuck. I'm going to get rid of this thing by the end of the summer.

Other than collecting miles, points, or cash back I can't really see a legitimate reason to use credit cards if you have the cash.

I ran the Legal Department at the worlds 2nd largest Credit Card Issuing Bank for 6 years before leaving for Chicago's busiest Law Firm. I closed every credit card I had during that time. Thank goodnes, cause the bitch left me and tried to reopen them all. Nuff said.

Im pretty sure he's talking about reward points and not about borrowing money for vacation dummy. You see, smart people can take advantage of credit cards. This may sound like batshit crazy idea to your kind, but people actually use credit cards on day to day basis, pay them off in full every month (holly shit !!!) and benefit from it. As matter of fact credit card companies thank you for using their credit cards with rewards points (Chase, Amex, Citi) and miles for your favorite airline. Look at that shit son! Turns out CC companies not only make $$ off fools who go all in and then pay interest but also from merchants who pay fees on card transactions. Wow, holly fucking Batman!

I personally pay entire amount and never been late. My City Thank You card earns 5 points per dollar and I use it for pretty much everything including a pack of gum at 7-11. Why would I carry cash when I can have couple cards with me?

I have desjardins gold visa myself but I prefer capital one visa aspire cash rewards because it gives me better insurance and higher returns. You might want to check it out.
