Yup... lost a fingertip tonight.. got it caught in this chair, cut the fucker right off.

It was a good finger.. on my favorite hand too, the right one..

I'm already gettin used to typing like this.. which is good since I don't have health insurance..

I lost the tip of my right index finger also. It was when I was young. I was spinning the back wheel of my bicycle. You know when you turn your bick upside down and pretend to make ice cream....... well I was spinning the fucker really fast and my finger got caught in between the chain and the sprocket !

It got chopped off to the bone ! This was like 20 years ago and it grew back with a regular nail but is more pointed than the index finger on my left hand.

Dude, if the wound is turning black, you really need to get to an emergency room. It could be the beginning of gangrene. Dried blood is a very dark red. By law the emergency rooms have to take you and treat you even if you don't have insurance. Also, by law, they have to accept a payment deal you can live with ($20 /month, for example)

Ok, nothing happened to my fingers, but 5 years ago I was playing soccer with some friends of mine, and I tripped. I put my arms down in front of me to support my fall, but all the pressure went to my elbows and they went *crack!* I went to the Emergency room 6 hours later after my elbows ballooned to purple bumps. I had to wear casts on both arms from wrist to upperarm for 2 months.

I had a finger injury as well.

My middle finger on my left hand got to meet Mr. Tablesaw. I never experienced so much pain in my life. The saw blade cut directly into my finger so it didn't really cut the tip off. Half my fingernail was gone and there was blood everywhere. My boss at the time said it wasn't that bad and made me keep working. After soaking blood through 5 band aids I decided that it was time to go to the doctor. Got to soak my finger in iodine and got cool finger condoms. My left middle finger now is slightly deformed. I hate tablesaws now.
