Razor Cut

I love getting a razor cut and a straight razor shave where they use a hot towel and the after shave. It's like a little bit of spoiling yourself that I love doing. I went today to my favorite place to find it closed and empty.
I ended up getting a cut at some local wanna be super cuts. It looks ok, but I miss the service. I'm not going to just get in the chair with anyone and have them run a straight razor across my neck.
This fucking sucks.

Isn't it illegal for a shop to give a shave since sometime after HIV? I know that I have not seen a shop that gives a shave. I too used to enjoy getting a hot towel shave once in awhile.

BTW...how is your daughter doing in school?

HIV is not that dangerous, because the virus is very unstable. It can't "live" long outside of the human fluids. For example, it easily gets destroyed by a boiled water, alcohol and even when the drops of blood gets dry.

Hepatitis (HBV and HCV) is a way different story. There fuckers are extremely surviving. They are stay infectious even after boiling a in dry form. For example the amount of HBV-infected blood must be 1000 times(!) smaller than HIV-infected one, to get you infected too. You don't even need to get a visible cut to catch the virus.

The % of deaths caused by HCV is about the same as the % of deaths because by HIV. However, the overage lifetime with HCV is much shorter than in case of HIV.

Also don't forget about HPV (there are 100's of know strain) and other diseases you can get while shaving with a razor, used by somebody else.

Just FYI

LOL, no beard can stand up to a straight razor. I used one in the Navy because being on a submarine I couldn't use a spray can of shaving creme, so we used a brush and shaving soap. So I went all the way and learned to use a straight razor and got very close shaves with it

I grew up in Camarillo, I know TO pretty well. I can always take a look at it, using the one in WeHo sounds like a better place to start with, if I don't like it, I can try that one. I'm pretty loyal when I find a shop I like. I went to the same place in Redding california for about 20 years

I'll let you know when the next weekend fun is starting up. My gf is always getting things for us to do on the weekend. She just got tickets to go on the lift at Mt Baldy, unlimited brunch and then hike around. I guess they try to make some business during the off season

I have a full beard, but my barber gives me a straight razor shave on the neck, as well as the hot towel treatment and some of his home made bay rhum and talc powder. It's nice to leave feeling refreshed like that. doesnt charge much, either.

Yes, been tweeking a few things on it, got a back rest so the GF doesn't roll off, my buddy gave me a HD full roll up tool kit, I had a leather bag I have had for a couple decades, so it fit perfectly on the bike. Getting new tires next week.

Planning on getting an Electra Glide Classic, maybe when the new models roll out, rumor is they will come with the 110 stock in it, hehehe

Somewhere I have the very first issue of easy rider magazine

Looking forward to it, I want to ride up to NorCal, Weaverville California, that ride is why they had yearly meets in Redding for H.O.G.

They change blades and sanitize after each shave. At least thats how my guy does it, always changes the blade right in my view. Nothing better than a nice face and neck shave. I wonder how it would to get my head shaved like that
