I was a PC guy for years ( 20 ) and I'll never look back.

I don't like fucking with things, and expect them to work.
My PC's , no matter how often I bought, never fucking worked properly.

5 years now, 2 imacs, 2 mac minis and only 1 problem, which is now being fixed for free, off warrantee.

Apple fuck the Euros on pricing.. The stuffs made in China, cost the same to ship to the EU or Nrth America, yet even ignoring sales tax which business owners can claim back. they still up the price 50% on some things.

I've used them, they're nice, but maybe I've been lucky, never really had any PC problems over the years. Although I completely ignored vista.

Really I just appreciate a nice package, like my leather couches and hardwood floors..

Sure, I can sit on a cloth couch, and walk on concrete floors... but I just appreciate a nice looking product I guess...

and OSX has does everything I need.

I was impressed that Apple emailed me, a whole year after my warrantee is expired, to let me know about the recall though, I don't see any HP, Dell, etc users saying the same... and you KNOW those same harddrives were used in other computers as well.

My computers are boring boxes, but they are machines that run like beasts. My most expensive machine was $2000 and it is a true workhorse. My others were all under $1000 and they all work great.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I make money from production, not having a pretty box on my desk.

I5 and 16 gigs of ram.

It also resides in a visible area. So I'd like it to look nice as well

actually you got the same display panel, which is basically the same pixel board, nothing else.

You can buy all sorts of parts used to build Apple products, it doesn't mean you have the "same product"

Don't worry Franck, if you save up someday you'll be able to enjoy the finer things in life as well.

That said, the Apple screen is a rip off for sure though, I'd never buy that shit.
The imac was a bargain though.

Anyway, the reason I enjoy my mac is I really have ZERO desire to upgrade, or fuss around with anything, and I don't mind paying a premium for that service, Apple knows this and charges accordingly.

I don't see how that makes them evil, they offer a luxury product, at a premium and seems to me that they're not having any difficulty selling their product.

Sure, it's just a PC inside, just like a lexus is just a toyota.

Toyota makes many cars that go faster, or that are more "upgradable" than a lexus, but they understand that some people simply don't care, and just want a nice comfy car to drive and will pay a premium for essentially the same product with a nicer experience attached.

I'm happy sitting infront of this 20 hours a day, and was more than happy to shell out for it.

and once an upgrade comes along that's worth the upgrade, I'll gladly sell this for 70% of what I paid for it and do it all over again.

and you know what? The upgrade process is a snap. A fast download and faster upgrade than Windows too. The only problem with an os upgrade I had last year was with using dual iMacs as an extended desktop. I had to upgrade both machines in order to continue to use that mode - took a 5 minute phone call to Apple to find that out, AND, Apple gave me the second OS upgrade FOR FREE. me=happy!

Really I just appreciate a nice package, like my leather couches and hardwood floors.. Sure, I can sit on a cloth couch, and walk on concrete floors... but I just appreciate a nice looking product I guess... and OSX has does everything I need. I was impressed that Apple emailed me, a whole year after my warrantee is expired, to let me know about the recall though, I don't see any HP, Dell, etc users saying the same... and you KNOW those same harddrives were used in other computers as well. The best part about these Apple hate threads is that everyone goes on about how Apple creates nothing innovative and just releases the same shit all the time. So let's look at what the PC has going on lately : Today: Very innovative, I like the red lights, very flashy. So what did the PC look like 10 years ago ? 2001: Then we have the Imac: Today: 2001: Seems the PC isn't innovating at all. And no way, in 2012 am I going to stick some big ass fucking noise box like that anywhere near my office thanks __________________ dead.
