So you're saying that Bush was much better at getting Democrats to go along with what he wanted to do. And Obama doesn't have the leadershp skills that other presidents like Clinton and Reagan had to work with the other side and move the agenda forward.

Maybe it wasn't such a great idea to let Reid and Pelosi lock the Republicans out of the entire health insurance bill and push it through without any consultation or reaching out at all.

Why do you compliment me and then insult me in the same post? I am only trying to raise a question and discussion here. I didn't call you or anyone else names. I am simply asking why people would vote for Romney. I, as a person outside of the US looking in, want to know because all of the news sources who say he is a liar, seem to have lots of sources to back up their positions. That is all.

Like I pointed out in my original post on this thread, and Black Crayon just reposted, both sides are totally bullshit. Personally, I didn't see a "lie" in what they made of obama's statement. If you put it back into context, he is still saying the same thing. He ignores the fact that the orignal infrastructure was build privately, not by government. In fact, all phone and power systems are STILL private.

As far as tax records, There are tons of things that Obama has not released, (and the news never investigated), about his past, and has had sealed. Why? He doesn't want us to know about them. Same as Romney. They are all the same.

When PR Tom posted that "facts are facts, and the bullshit spin doesn't cover them up", I found that to be a VERY naive statement. You can put facts into a story, but then leave our other facts that are relevent, and although the story will be technically "true", it will not be "the truth"

Here is a very very simplistic Example. "Some people were surprised this morning when a driver that was speeding at 80 mph through heavy morning traffic was released with a warning. It turns out it was a city councilman."

Sounds like a shady deal with a politicion getting off light while indulging in very dangerous behavior right?

On the other hand, if you are told that the posted speed was 75 mph, and that all the other cars were also going 80... and that other cars were pulled over and given a warning (since less than 10 mph over the speed limit is usually not ticketed). then ;the story becomes no big deal.

It is the careful selection or ommision of facts that can keep a story technically true, while making the actual understanding of the reader completely incorrect.

I never had health insurance until I was 41 years old. I didn't need it. Neither did my 2 brothers. My youngest brother is 42 and he still has never had health insurance.
