In the Clickbank thread you said someone pulling ~$2k/month makes more than all your internet stuff, but you're interested in a $200k website?

If the buyer already has a lot of adult webmaster traffic e.g owner of GFY or another large adult webmaster forum, this is easily worth $200K and more, they could combine it with their forum; the value of the two combined would be far greater than the sum of parts.

On the long term they'd definitely need someone to keep working on SBD to keep it fresh and remove dead programs.

Attention to detail helterskelter....no where did I state specifically that I was interested in the $200k website. Nor should it have been implied as such from the writing. All I did was mention something that anybody that knows anything about business would mention while complimenting on the wonderful website and bumping it for him.

That's not how it works. If you'd take over and want to keep making the 10K a month you'd also have to take over the staff that updates the site etc. He mentions 2 editors and a coder. Not sure how much they get paid, but probably it will cost 2.5 - 3K a month. So then there is only 7K left. Then there is hosting and of course any time you have to put into the site yourself. Imagine having to update all of the affiliate accounts to your own info at 100s of programs, it's going to be hell.

The 200K is way too high.

It is a totally fair initial price. Buyer offers 100K, seller comes back with 175K, finally selling for 150K.

If the coder is who I think it is the buyer will have no problems. The biggest problem will be signing up for every single program SBD has signed up for over the past years. Unless with the sale is the transfer of every account (which will be 1000's).

Of course the sale will include all the affiliate accounts, that's how a lot of the income is made (webmaster referrals), so all his affiliate accounts must be part of the deal, otherwise it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

So yeah, the new owner would have to update 100s of affiliate accounts to his own info.

the buyer gets all the accounts, including my Paxum and maybe even GFY :1orglaugh from my experience account info doesn't really matter if it's not check or wire payments, or if nothing happens like epass crash. it can be done in no rush mode over the year. just like the editors check every program at least once a year. plus you can get 60% changed simply by changing 1 CCBill, Verotel, Epoch, Zombaio and Dhd account

the buyer also gets NiftyStats with all the NATS programs typed-in :winkwink:

Why pay 200k when you can hire a programmer who would parse everything from that site for 2k (being really generous here).
