Cox throttled my upload bandwidth and fixed it without admitting to it - GoFuckYourself.com

I had to upload over 100gb to an FTP and was backing up my hard drives to a server ... Apparently my upload bandwidth ended up being throttled ..... badly .. Tried resetting the modem and all of that shit ..

So it's been throttled for a couple of days.. I call their tech support department asking about it... no there's no throttle, deny deny,

Yet magically now my upload bandwidth is back to normal. It was 1/10th of normal for two days... After being on the phone with them, it's fixed.

Your neighbors open wifi is always an option.

we used our neighbors wifi for xbox and 3 computers the lag was incredible college days

I used to work for Cox tech support and I guarantee they just looked at your modem resets or t1-4/rx/tx/etc and reprovisioned your equipment. It might not permanently fix the problem.

No one that you talk to on the phone is going to know shit about throttling..

My upload is so slow that it would speed up if it got throttled.
