Opening merchant accounts for hosting, how many and/or what kind from these options?

I've been making websites for local businesses and have worked out deals to host them on my reseller account. I'm slowly getting my way to the tail end of WHM.autopilot software configured and getting all the api's for the payment gateways.

PayPal's already included. bluepay secpay paymate authorize.net usaepay nochex paylane linkpoint eway cybersource 2co With merchant fees it's unnecessary to go beyond 1-2. Do any of these sound better to the average joe, do you know? When I'm doing the hand holding with the businesses it doesn't really matter but if I get people met through online to sign up, what sounds trusting to them. These are the only api's I see so far through WHM.Autopilot (haven't explored other add ons). Suggestions or thoughts, please? |

There are differences between all of those API's. Some are third party processors where you would be utilizing their merchant account (2co). Then there are gateway processors, such as authoriznet, where you would be required to have your own merchant account.

So this would narrow down some choices for you, depending on whether or not you have your own merchant account. Hope that helps!

We used Paypal, Google, and our own merchant account. That is all we have needed. ![]() |

PayPal has a very nice integration with WHMCS I would just recommend that until you are doing more volume.

yeah you deff do not need all of those options unless you are outside the us or doing business with people from outside the us that could use all the different options.
