Another issue I've ran into is that my site is mainly video based & I only do pro photo set updates when I have extra time. Affiliates seem to prefer pictures & not videos. Are there any affiliates that take teaser videos? Anyhow... I need an easy way to do this myself quickly (send out emails, make instant galleries so I don't have to muddle with it by hand, and FINDING more affiliates would be super too of course!) or I need to hire someone to take care of this for me.

Yes, I saw your affiliate site, and the design is excellent, but the coding is not. Especially with how you have your hosteds set up; it's going to inflate your ratios the wrong way. I could, at least, code your gallery template properly for you and then you could probably pay someone per job to make galleries for you when they are needed. I'm sure there are people on this board that would take that work, $10 per gallery or something like that...
I have seen affiliates request .FLV teasers and put an export list together so they can add all the videos at once into their CMS. You can also make video hosteds, as well.
I'm not sure if they are still active, but CCBTools is another option to run your whole affiliate site.
Having someone find you affiliates is a whole other thing, though. Most are going to want a serious piece of your profits, I reckon. Same with just joining up with a more established program. I agree with what Mutt said, though...don't go chasing waterfalls, stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to. Ok well, maybe it was TLC that said that, but same point :) |
