Fantasyman, I know your program rocks -- I have lots of my friends telling me to use your email program... I just saw the CE promo email and figured that little text about dropping foreign traffic on toplists would make for a hot GFY thread. It worked!

As proof that I'm not a CE hater... I will take this opportunity to announce that I will count any or all of your CE-redirected-foreign traffic at my toplist at secretcurves.com and U will get full credit -- return the recip traffic to the URL of your choice... Traffic is traffic as long as it's human -- that's my motto... I hope that other programs follow suit and be more honest like CE w/ where your traffic is going... Look at all the tracking features CE has! It's pointless to be sending all your foreign traffic to sponsors when they don't even what it -- or when it would be better off sent to a dialer or... even toplists! If you're going to play nice tho -- U may want to let your trades know that a larger percentage of your volume will be foreign... just in case they don't have scripts ready to deal w/ the foreign traffic... Most sites will be ok if they do enough trades -- but every site will be different... Remember U help your trades and they will be grateful... Ignorance is bliss but U will lose money if you are trading some sweet USA nectar for a load of Chinese bullcrap... This is a necessary evil -- just accept your fate or start blocking countries w/ custom CGI and don't complain...

The reason most people didn't see my purpose right away for starting this thread (Sleazydream figured it out!) -- is because a lot of U newbs are behind the times as far as script technology goes... U have no idea that when you link to most sponsors w/o filtering off foreign traffic through a CGI redirect script -- you're losing money! Thanks to CE for being so openly honest about this shit... My guess is more affiliate programs will follow suit -- otherwise they may feel guilty for being so greedy...

let me clarify that.. Im taking the crap traffic out and sending it to a dialer and giving the affiliate credit .. as where before, they didnt get shit, cause the traffic was worthless to both of us (me and the affiliate)

CE does send any WORTHWHILE traffic to dialers and they pay affiliates for it. It s the traffic from China, Uraguay etc. that cant even make money on dialers that they give back. They only way to make money with that shit is to trade it or sell it.

Theres always webmasters willing to buy this stuff cheap, and they buy it to trade it off or make it look like their sites send huge traffic.

First of all CE is not the first to do this. Nexcash has had the option of sending you foreign traffic to any url you want for over a year now. Atleast the sponsors that give you the option of what url to filter and send this traffic to are being cool. There are many sponsorsa that filter this traffic you send them and send it off to there own foreign traffic sites, and don't give you the option, ....now that is walking the edge of cheating and stealing your traffic (even if its garbage).

1. FantasyMan: Dont you agree that sometimes marketing teams take it a little too far?
First: Saying that this foreign traffic stunt get you back to the conversion of the old days is a very lame thing "by the same rationale" they could have said - "If you check this checkbox we will list in raw and unique only the surfers that ACTUALLY SIGNUP. That way you can see very close to a 100%!!! conversion. ISN'T IT GREAT???"
Second: i agree with the person here who said CE better say: send your foreign-converting traffic to places where it can better convert (or better utilized).

2. TheFLY: I think there is something elegant about the fact that you don't take GFY too seriously but in the right proportion. I also think its nice that you sometimes have the balls to speak up your mind even if its not conventional.
Although - I don't know much about your history and all BUT the stunt you pulled with Choker and the contest was as dumb as hell. This was a very childish stupid stunt.
...which leads me to the last point - childish as well...

This thread is all about geo-targeting and its power. but XXXManager is offering you all a way to geo-target (and other targetting methods) to maximize the revenue from your traffic foreign and not. You could use it not to send to top-list but to distribute it among many foreign affiliates for example. It is easy as 123. Just define your rules with XXXManager with a mouse button and you are ready to go. Don?t you think its better that sending to toplist? Make MONEY instead.

I don't. Most webmasters here don't even know what the word geo-targeting means technically -- let alone know why it is useful for so many reasons... This CE email does a few things --

a) it got your attention and discussion
b) introduces some more people to country codes and language codes
c) provides the newbs or just the lazy webmasters with another convenient option to utilize foreign traffic...


Thanks for the compliment, and I think your software is a great idea. I'm only sorry that I have not had more time to investigate it... As for my fake "Choker" contest... I can't tell you all the reasons that I started that "childish" contest, but look at a few things that I did with it...

a) Choker posts here almost every day now. Before he used to post here maybe once a month -- and bitch that we all wasted our time posting when we could be making more money working... I think all the traffic that my Choker strategy threads sent his program in the form of new webmasters and interested parties -- made him see that GFY was a viable place to do business. I could be wrong, yet he posts here on a regular basis now -- where he didn't before I started stuntin' him...

b) I was making a joke about how it's lame that everyone on here can accept that a 15 y/o kid can be a wealthy bigtime spammer.

c) I was pointing out that it is ironic that the newbs will believe anything you tell them -- this was pointed out to me at Internext and I found it funny. If you speak in a language technically above a newb's level of understanding (which is pretty low if you assume that most people here are making galleries, if even...) -- they will buy everything U say -- especially if some "smart" people jump on the thread (because they *got* the joke)... These smart webmasters played along in good taste -- validating the joke...

d) There's the random element of chance -- like how did I know when Choker would step in and say "TheFLY you are full of shit..." But he didn't do that right away did he? He waited a while maybe to see how much traffic he would get -- or he didn't know about it at all -- but the point is that he came eventually and the whole "NO LET ME PAY THE PRIZE" aspect of the thread was a total suprise to me that I was not expecting. I set up some conditions for various things to happen -- and then I let them play out and I improvise along the way... That's how an artist operates -- you set up come variables, some conditions, your limitations -- then let the process reveal itself to you -- watch the methods unfold -- roll with the punches... but the only way you can set these scenarios up is if you let go of your pride, your fears, and have a positive intent, and a goal... My goal was to garner more attention for Choker's script -- because I realized that most webmasters had no idea how his script worked... There was a great imbalance... I know that when I first started trading on Productivity it was a nightmare to explain to trades how that worked -- as more people traded on Productivity -- it became easier to do trades -- and such is the case w/ trading traffic on galleries... Either you understand the concept or you don't... I hope that my Choker stuntin' threads were successful in that they brought Choker to the front lines -- exposing more people to the concept of trading on galleries -- and now look what we have -- right after Internext everybody and their mom came out w/ freehosted galleries... Do you think that was a coincidence? No... The old way of doing things (using gallery submitters) is near an end... The only way the gallery submitters make money now is if they buy their own (non-sponsor) content -- freehosted galleries are a perfect marriage for gallery based trading and for TGP's that want to make more money...

So if you still think that my thread about the 15 y/o that spammed Choker's program was childish -- I'll write you a whole novel on why I started that thread... Then we can debate whether or not you still think that I'm childish. LOL
