Part of this was posted in the superbowl prediction. I am seriously shocked at how many ppl think ortan sucks and cutler is better. Lets take a look at stats here.

Kyle Orton's rookie year 05 he started in 15 games and took the team 10-5. His rookie year, he took Chicago to the playoffs. Measuring Orton's victories, his rookie season was successful. His 15 starts and 10 victories are both rookie records for Bears quarterbacks, and the 10 victories are the third most in the NFL, since 1970. hmmm feeling stupid yet?

Jay Cutler's first year as a starter not a rookie mind you. He took the denver broncos for a whooping 7-9 wins.

Now let us compare the two's last two years.

09 Orton led the Broncos to a surprising 6-0 record to begin the season.Ortans first interception was game 6 against the new england patriots. After his injury he did not perform as well but still did amazing. The broncos had gotten rid of there star receiver and HAD NO RUNNING GAME. Orton threw 21 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions with an 86.8 QB rating.Orton had 3,802 yards 541 passes of which 336 of which were complete. (hmmm, getting yet?)

Jay Cutler took the bears for 7-9 and 27 TD, 26 INT. His 26 interceptions led the league. Culter had 3,666 yards with 555 passes 336 of which were complete.

since i already proving my point ill make this fast because I am sure you are finding it hard to follow.

10. Orton finished the season 3,653 yards 20 touchdowns, nine interceptions. He missed 3 games at the end of the season, and the broncos only won 4 games last year. Only 186 yards was rushing combined Almost every game was extremely high scoring game regardless of the fact that he was sacked 34 times. There was no run game and sure as hell no defense. RUSHING (Plays-Average Yards) 398 - 3.9 531 - 4.7 the broncos only had 398 - 3.9 compared to its opp which had 531 - 4.7 yet the broncos had a passing yards that beat most teams TOTAL PASSING YARDS broncos 4038 opp combined 3780. qb rating 87.5

Cutler, yes the bears went to the playoffs, but how much did he really do? Lets take a look. Ive proven maj of you idiots wrong esp from chi and den, try and prove me wrong.

With a 11-5 record cutler did 3,274 23 TD and 16 INT. Cutler has a comp of 261 out of 432 attempts with a finished qb rating of 86.3. (side note) in pass yards bears were ranked 28th in the nfl and broncos despit only winning 3 games were 7th. RUSHING (Plays-Average Yards) 414 - 3.9 386 - 3.7.not a huge difference in average yards but when u look at the opp u can see the difference in defense. TOTAL PASSING YARDS 3015 3588.

I am getting sick of writting this and its stupid if anyone thinks cutler is a better. When he has more tools and better around team.

ppl ask me why i care? i care because im a chicago fan that saw many seasons wasted on rex and orton no chance to shine when he proved he has talent.

Lol atleast I can say one good thing about another team and that's chargers qb he played injured and I battered. I've seen prying play limping as well. Cutler is a fluke another qb draft that was a.bad idea. You will see how many years Orton starts compared to cutler soon enough. Orton will be put on a team where he is treated right and on a team that doesn't suck and use Orton as a fall boy. I hope he goes to flordia better yet detroit because that would be awspme to watch cutler finally realize how.much he sucks

Being that I live in Indiana and got to watch Orton when he was at Purdue, I can say the guy is a stud. He has been on shitty teams and thus we haven't really seen his potential. He is underrated and hasn't been given any respect in the league. I'd take Orton over Cutler and Tebow.

I like the guys who never watch football are experts on Cutler's injury during the NFC championship game.

That was his planting foot and Cutler had virtually no time in the pocket as is. They made the correct call pulling him. After the half the medical / coaching staff let him try to play with his injury but pulled him after it was clear as day he was totally ineffective. Go back and watch the game again.

There was no "whimping out", Cutler took more hits than ANY QB this season.

Taking statistics from various seasons on different teams is so irrelevant it's not even funny. Protection, wide receivers, coaching strategies, etc, etc can make or break a QB's statistics in any given season.

Cutler brought the Bears to the NFC championship game, is he better than Kyle Orton? Not sure about that. Is he basket-case? I don't think so....

Beating the Eagles who were on a hot streak coming off huge wins against Atlanta, NYG and Indiana.

Great game against the Jets who were playing great football beating the Steelers the week prior.

Then beating the Seahawks who were coming off a win against the SB champion Saints.

I can understand why ppl may think orton is a shitty qb because he hasn't not made it far but as a rookie did something only another 3qbs did. In both 09have and 10 put up more yards then most quarter backs and has had better td vs int rating then moat abs. While both seasons he wastop 5 sacked qb and both seasons had no defence or run game to help. With all that I say he's an amazing qb and he is just starting. For example for only winning 3 games as a starter in 2010 he was ranked 10 in abs in the nfl and only played 14 games one he was out almost entire half??? Amazing in my nook

As a Denver fan I have seen both Culter and Orton play many times. They are very different QB's but personally I believe they are both underrated.

Orton is a proven winner who understands what needs to be done to win the game. Cutler has the ability to throw on the run and throw back across the field in a way that is unmatched in the NFL (except by Michael Vick).

Orton needs a team with a strong running game and a conservative coach (ironically like John Fox), and Orton needs an offensive guru like Mike Shanahan to take advantage of his unique skills. Mike Martz always tries to force his players to fit his system (which will not work with Cutler). They need a coordinator who will tailor his system to Cutler.

Definitely not the record, but he led the league last season. It just goes to show his toughness though, despite getting hit countless time with often no protection at all he had a decent season. When someone says he's a "quitter" it's just a joke.
