Some of you didn't notice that there's no French speakers offended in here?

I'd like to give special mention to PR_Glen for once again proving what a complete and utter moron he is.

Quick French lesson for the rest of you.

Hospital in English is "hôpital" in French.
Ambulance in English is "ambulance" in French.
Telephone in English is "téléphone" in French.
Help in English is "aide" in French.

Even most of you would be able to work through the language barrier!

He was probably just an overly aggressive panhandler........ everyone I met in Canada who spoke French was a beggar.

If someone comes up to you and needs assistance, the burden is on them to communicate what they need.

I would argue that most people could read the words and get the gist, quite another when its being said by someone in a panic, with an accent, and quite fast.

Actually, there's no such thing as Karma. Falls in to the God and Santa category. Stories told to make people feel better about the World not being fair.

Last time I was in Canada a few years ago, in Toronto to be exact, this woman motioned for me to roll down my window presumably asking for directions as she had a map in her hand and started talking in French. I'm like 'huh?'. She's like 'you don't speak french?' (in broken english). French is the most useless language ever. Like War Child says, everywhere it is spoken is basically a fail (Quebec, Africa, France).

don't care what language he was speaking, his wife had a heart attack. Put yourself in his position. He was panicking and needed help. Panic releases adrenalin, adrenalin inhibits cognitive reasoning. It's why if you have a heated argument with your spouse, councilors tell you to go for a 30 min walk to get the adrenalin out of your system so you can think clearly. That wasn't because he spoke french or was french Canadian, it was cause something horrible happened to him that could have happened to anyone. Making fun of him in that circumstance is NOT COOL.

He speaks French cause that's where he was brought up and exposed to. If you had the same background, you'd do the same. Making fun of him for that shows you're the idiot, not him.

That doesn't mean i agree with some of the politics that have come out of Quebec ;P

Moron? You're the one who couldn't tell the difference between someone telling jokes and someone who obviously needs help. He could have been speaking ancient Hebrew and I still would have understood enough to help someone out...shit I would bet your dogs could even tell...
