Almost lost a huge domain name last week because of this. I had it set to auto renew and the fucking thing didnt.

Maybe it's intentional, so they can scoop up your domains for themselves. The auto-renew gives you a false sense of security. By the time you realize your domains didn't auto-renew, it's too late.

Beware of shady registrars.
