Need ICQ help - anyone else using ICQ7

    I give up.

I had to upgrade to the new ICQ 7 but before doing so saved my history files from ICQ 6. In the past you just copied the old history file over the new file and your history would show up on the new version. I can't seem to figure out how to do that with this one.

I've had history saved for years and don't want to lose it. I also tried uninstalling 7 and putting 6 back on but it seems like it wont let me.

If you have done this please let me know what you did, i've spent a couple hours on google trying to find the answer and can't find anything.

well, if it makes you feel better you are not the only one. I upgraded to icq7 and it pretty much made my ICQ totally worthless. I am receiving emails from affiliates asking why i didnt respond to their messages when I have never even seen them come through.

Regarding the history issue. When i originally upgraded the first thing I did was check history. Nothing was there. There was an option to import all icq6 history and I clicked the import button. It did seem to work BUT at the end of the day it doesnt really matter if I am not receiving messages from people.

I just looked to see if I could take a screen cap but since i've already copied history over from ICQ6 that option is not available now.

ok, i was just able to get ICQ6 back on with my history showing up again. If anyone using ICQ7 has been able to do this please let me know. Its just matter of time before they force people to upgrade.

at least you didn't post about how stupid ICQ is and you can't believe people still use it. I am sure a few people will stop in to help by telling my ICQ is gay.
