Internext Roll Call

I will be going this year as usual to AEE & Internext.

I stayed at Bellagio one year for Internext. My travel companion at the time got a very good deal. It is a really nice hotel. One thing though; It cost us a lot in cab fare to go forth and back to the shows. Now I try to stay within walking distance of any convention.

We're going to switch to the Palms on Monday. I wouldn't stay that far for the show itself, mainly because I like the convenience of being able to pop back and forth on a whim.

It's really just a preference, it doesn't hold the same business advantage in Vegas as staying in the same hotel does in say Phoenix or Miami, where everyone you see is there for primarily the same reason and everywhere you go you're doing business. Honestly, those are my favorite shows.

But then I'm sure the room prices at The Gold Coast would probably jump sky high and we'd all be staying at The Palms.

I am going extremely low budget this year. Three days at Casino Royale and Hotel which is between Venetian and Harrahs and three days at Rio. Rio is only $40.00 per night and is close enough for me to hit the breakfast buffet at Gold Coast on the way to The Palms.

the purpose for me at any show is not to do business - people who go to shows to do business are small minded with no vision.

the purpose is to put a name to a face - to meet and interact with the people who you chat with all the time in your business - to BUILD relationships with people. to see who they are and how they act and react in real life. to meet new people in person and decide if this is the kind of person i want to do business with or continue to do business with.

to make memories with people sends you business in ways you can never really know - it's amazing how people will refer you or help you out in ways you never really see.

the small minded people who say they're not going to a show cause they don't get new business from it will eventually leave this biz and have no vision.
