i had two surgical extractions last month, i never took painkillers for either of them. people blow getting a tooth pulled way out of proportions. just make sure you don't eat anything that'll get stuck in the crater and fuck up the blood clot. i had a buddy who went like a retard and ate doritos right after getting his wisdom teeth out, and wound up getting little sharp cumbs of dorito stuck down in the clot and it fucked things up for him.

Had two done one at a time, then two at once. There was one really bad one. My first experiences led me to the demand that I be put under for the last two - THANK GAWD!!!!! They really had to cut the top of my mouth up to get the sucker out.

Hope your's go better than that last one for me. Other than that, it is no biggie. Just depends on how bad they are in there.

I'm sure it'll be fine provided you're not planning on doing _anything_ this weekend... be sure your dentist gives you one of those water-syringe thingies after your first couple weeks... you're gonna need it to rinse out your "holes" for the next month or three... and sometimes they forget to give 'em.

Don't worry so much..at our age they should be fairly erupted, so it's a simple thing to pull them out, even impacted ones don't hurt terribly unless there's infection involved.

Mine I finally got out in January and there was some bad infection. They usually don't pull them in that state but mine defiantly had to come out.

Best part about getting you teath pulled is the drugs they give you.

I had my wisdom done years ago. Was such a releaf as they were going to fuck all my other teath if they came up.

Had 4 done last year. You will get injected with a Huge syringue about 6 times, then you wait a little bit for the product to take effect, then he starts to work, you can hear/feel the scalpel going through and some crunches when he breaks tooth that he isn't to get out normally, see blood everywhere... but it only lasts about 10 minutes.

Close your eyes, relax. Follow they instructions they give you to rest and everything should be back to normal about 2-3 weeks after the operation.

I waited so long because my dentist is a goof and I asked when I was 17, 18, 19, etc etc he said not to bother yet because they aren't a problem. Then at 27 he said "You better get these out before you turn 30! Why did you wait so long?"

Mine were so impacted, the dentist ended up trying to drill, then wrench back and forth to make them come out. About an hour later, he got one out, and we collectively decided "fuck it" for the rest. Never did become a problem, though.

Yeah that's what almost happened to mine. It took 90 minutes to get the bottom two out, between the drill and wiggling and whatnot. The top two took about 2 minutes each.

I have had a lot of dental work done lately. I will tell you one thing.. you won't be sucking down any milkshakes. No smoking and no straws! If you give yourself a dry socket you'll be in awful pain for about a month and they won't be able to do a whole lot for you.

Just do what they tell you to do after it's all done and you'll be fine. Soreness will go away after 2-3 days and it won't be bad.

Busting the teeth out of your mouth kind of sucks but if they've got you numbed up real good you'll just feel the pressure.

That sounds horrifying! The dentist I went to was extremely gentle. He froze everything first, gave me Atavan, then started in. If I winced or jumped, he gave me two more shots of freezing. I lost count, but he must have given me at least 16 freezing shots by the end of it. I was numb up to my ears!

Mine were relatively painless. I had 4 taken out at once and only had problems with one socket, and even that wasn't so bad that the pain pills couldn't cover it.

Although, they screwed up my prescription and didn't add the refill on it, so I went a couple days without them, and that was pretty rough.

Yeah I think I had a total of 16 too, but the doctor was just a dick, yelling at me for moving and stuff like that.
