Perhaps that has all changed since last I looked and I said earlier that that could be the case. What I did not say is that that seems unlikely, given that you say you skipped updating any of your sites for more than a month.

This is exactly like you asking where I got your conversion ratios, when (a) you essentially gave them to me by stating your $$ and your traffic and (b) you posted information to this board such that anyone else could also come pretty close and (c) I've promoted your program, so I know it does not sell as well as others, such as say http://www.SpookyCash.com/ You constantly talk about how you are the little guy, but you are trying to start WWIII because Forrest repeated what you have been saying all along.

Amelia, you really need to calm down.

You are the person with his panties in a bunch because Forrest referred to you as small, despite the fact that you are. I posted while you were sort of apologizing and I was about to respond to your post with a hey, let's forget the whole thing. But you just have to jab again. You need to learn to do basic math. There is nothing more unemotional and clear than basic math. Every time I mention mathematics, of the sort that most people on this board work hard on every day, you can not respond. You have to start some sort of emotional issue. I do not have a personal relationship with you and I have avoided bringing up any opinions I might have of you as a person. I am talking about factual information here. I have not misunderstood anything. You are incapable of answering a single factual point I have made, so you employ the sexist ruse of telling me I'm not being calm enough. That is really low.

        I'd link to that.

It wasn't a jab. I just don't want to get into a "discussion" with someone who seems as emotional as that post looked to me. The left-fielf accusation of sexism is all the proof I need that I should walk away, and maybe address this later. I don't like this kind of argument.

I realize that all caps can be viewed as emotional and I probably should have used boldface or italics instead of caps to emphasize that point. So, here, I will try again with punctuation you are more comfortable with. I'll even leave out any reference to your interaction with Forrest as the assertion of yours I disagree with is that you feel I have some sort of misunderstanding of your business. You have already hijacked this thread so there is no point not finishing what you started:

Your opinion that I give away a large percentage of my content didn't seem to be based on an accurate understanding of what I give away. One line that really stuck out for me was:

"I thought you took example shots from all your sets. Is that not how the samplers work?"

I have never done that, is the thing. My samplers include a selection of my favourite images, from a limited number of sets. My other promo packs include images from other selected sets.

I am very conscious not to give away too large a portion of my images, or images from too many of my sets. I guess I just felt that you were pulling "facts" and impressions out of thin air, based on a few statements about my operation that didn't match fact.

The thing is, I never intended to hijack anything. I came in here answering your question. You are the one who engaged me (in a way I felt was innacurate) about my own program. It wasn't a big deal at all to me, and I figured the thread would go on. Somehow, though, it hasn't.

I just read this thread from the beginning, and it looks like you and Forrest are quite on the defensive.

Get off your high horse will ya. Your competition was nice enough to give you some helpful advice, and you just shat all over him.

                  Way to go.

No, like I said, I'm sorry if he took what I said as being worse than I had intended. I suppose I can see why he might, and if I had the ability, I would edit that unnecessary part of that post out. The tricky part is that there is a lot more backstory to this than is apparent in this thread. The advice I was referring to, that he chose to ignore, would have saved him from the trouble he's had for the last few months, and he was pretty insulting, rude, and self righteous about it at the time.

It is difficult for me not to come off as perhaps a little 'high horse'ish though. We've been publishing Gothic Erotica for a very long time. We've published successful subcultural erotica magazines well before the web came along. Nobody used the terminology 'Gothic Erotica' before we came along, so I feel very much a part of the niche. We've also shot for Playboy, Penthouse, a bunch of Flynt magazines like Taboo and Barely Legal, as well as pretty much all the slick European fetish magazines. Our sites have been up and successful for a lot longer than Ian's, but that's not any sort of contest. We've totally promoted his stuff in the past and supported him in the past as well. He has however copped a bit of an attitude toward us, both here and elsewhere, and implied that he was somehow more veteran or whatever, and that simply isn't the case. Amelia wasn't asking how to promote within the Gothic niche, she was looking for advice from poeple outside the niche, and Ian kinda missed that point. But, that doesn't mean that I wanted to start world war three over silly stuff like this. If I came across as defensive, it is only because I was trying to fix a problem I may have caused, but really didn't intend to cause.

If you think you're that accomplished, then why are you here asking questions on a message board?

'we need advice, but we're better than you' doesn't work too well around here.

                            I love you, Voodoo.

In a bit, I'm going to take Brujah and punkworld's advice and start a new thread. Then I can ask my questions again and hopefully get some feedback from webmasters on what they would like, so I can give you all what you would like and accomplish new things.

<---- I'm drinking one with you.
