You have Mygen, RSSGM, and YACG all open source and freely availible, and they all work rather well. But there are some others out there that do a really good job with keyword injection, thesauruses, and some rather advanced tools.

There are so many possibilities with markov chains besides spamming google.. and even if that is your purpose, it's not a problem to do so if you spend the time to learn how..

It can be used to show a particular ad based on previous click patterns, which can really improve conversions!

And 10 zillion other things. I know that you are a very very competent developer (I have even told my clients to go talk to you when I haven't had time to work with them), but you clearly have a limited understanding of what the Markov concept is capable of. I'm not trying to piss you off, it is a pretty advanced concept and as webmasters we usually only see a very small part of it.

I think you are correct in thinking that.. But that could be because people simply don't know what the possibilities are.. yet
