When entering the admin trough the recovery link it says that the theme is paused.

It's very unforgiving. Things that would barely throw a warning in PHP 7 are now a fatal error. Honestly, I hate it with a passion. I wasn't even properly finished hating 8.1 and 8.2 has come out The next update is compatible with 8.1, probably 8.2 but there's no ioncube loader for that yet. Overall there is alot of stuff that they broke in older scripts that didn't really NEED to be broken.

I have a new design ready for the next update which should be out shortly after new years. How this happened?

Im not sure, my guess would be that the wp roboscripts plugin got exploited and because the owner is missing he's obviously not patching it too.
It's a tricky malware only showing up when googling your domain from a fresh browser, then clicking on the google result and after loading clicking on webcam thumbnail. Gives a pop-up of some lottery winning.

That will only cover the files and not the database. It's more likely that it's SQL injection. The install files are unlikely to be changed as the web-user of the server is unlikely to actually have write access to the script's files.

I'd do a search in the whole db for strings like "%script%"

I completely sympathize with why he may have shut down. But it would be great to have the ability to generate new licenses.

I have some more insight into this now that ours has been out for a while so I can tell you my perspective of why he might have bailed - IMHO, it had to have been a financial burden.

- There are sales, but it's absolutely not something you could live off of comfortably in a western country, and having sold many licenses he would have likely spent a good amount of time doing support.

- The market here is small as this is very specific to porn and isn't something that can be used in mainstream at all.

- Roboscripts will eventually break more. New PHP versions will become more popular, APIs will change, new sites will come out, the market's needs will change at which point we will likely see an increase in sales.

- Custom work does not augment the sales much in comparison to our tube script. There's usually small requests if anything at all, simply because there isn't that much a script like this can really potentially do. It mostly does what it's supposed to do - which is embed cams.

As I understand, It was just Nick. The scale of our business is different - we have staff already either way and we have to pay them, so providing support or creating updates in any off time we have does not really constitute any substantial additional cost or effort for me.

That's all speculation of course though.

Good points and my thoughts also. I think he priced his scripts too low and would run sales promos too often. Then he would often provide free support that was taking too much of his time with no revenue in return.

I just wish he would have found a better way to let us know he was no longer interested in carrying the project forward and I'm sure we at least could have all helped him offset his hosting and related expenses to keep his server going. I tried to help him out by buying just about everything he was selling and spent over $400 for future projects, but unfortunately never downloaded any of the scripts I bought.

I have it up on a test site where I have it replacing a Robo V3 PHP site. It was pretty easy to get it to emulate the Robo site in terms of look and feel. There are some things I didn't get finished with the tracking, cam window and the tags system because it seemed pointless with the newer version being released soon. The best thing is that server load is much better as compared to the spike you would get when Robo did it's cron job.

There are some issues with the mechbunny cam script when it comes to tags, for example, chaturbates tags are bigass but other sites are big ass, if you use big ass as a tag for chaturbate then it won't auto-populate with cams because it doesn't recognize it as big ass but instead as bigass, I think Konrad should look into fixing this, this happens only for chaturbate API from what I have noticed

The issue is you would have to add bigass and big ass in order for it to auto-populate for the correct cam site

Another issue I have seen is the script has no canonical-url tag in the header so you will get a lot of Duplicate without user-selected canonical errors in google console, this should be addressed in a future update

And one last thing is it doesn't pull any trans cams from chaturbate, as of right now it's only couple, female, male

So if your main page is Ebony theme and then a tag (say Asian) is selected it will show both Ebony and Asian tag rooms together. All of my sites are very specific long tail niches so I was working to figure that out so that it only shows a single tag.

You can create custom urls that are specific tag queries. I did that and put some on a top menu.

What I can't figure out how to do is associate them with a tag link on the sidebar so it just shows that chosen query. You need to edit the theme to do that, and I didn't bother with the new theme pending. There should be a URL field per tag if it is to work this way.

There are some SEO issues which produce more than one similar result per tag query. It could probably be fixed with robots.txt

Would it be enough to just make two fields - tag display name and search term, and when you click the display name it actually searches the search term instead?

With Yoast 19.14 no problem, i send direct to the cam on the CB whitelabel.

Just found out what is causing the error, it's Jetpack Boost last version, so now placing a backup back to all the sites.

Well, the whole evening busy with Jetpack Boost but could not get the error out, while WP mailed me that there was an error with boost.

After not knowing anymore what to do, i have disabled Yoast and the site works fine again, so you had the right direction

Now contact Yoast or delete it and try All in one Seo

It looks like Yoast 19.14 breaks Robo. In my case it broke the model profiles.

The solution is to use the WP Rollback plugin and roll back Yoast to 19.13. If it works without issue then count yourself lucky.

As well it's probably the time to disable Wordpress updates.

Broken site after a WordPress or plug in update did screw up few sites.
