AMD with 8 cores.

It is cheap, nothing in its price range can't compare, you have to spend at least 5 times the same money to get something slightly faster with another brand.

And it has 8 cores, while the others have only 4, this allows to have up to 8 simultaneous processes, instead of 4. So you can have a HD video rendering in one window, while editing another HD video in another window, while watching a video of your favourite TV show in another window... Or render HD video fast, while playing videogames at the same time...

Once you use it, you can't stand any other computer, they always seem too slow.

But don't forget to get a decent graphics processor too.
