I would not buy a new computer without SSD, certainly not one that cannot be upgraded or modified? Maybe that one can, but looks like it would be a pain.

I don't do all in one, computer geeks usually don't. Fanboys do.

How are you going to install water cooling or a new GPU? It looks like a great monitor that would be a lot less expensive and have a longer useful life without the CPU attached. It's not a bad CPU, right this minute. But this minute doesn't last.

Would need to have a decent go of it before buying. Not sure if the curved screen would be nice to use or make me feel sick.

                        Amazon.com: Michael J. Wood's review of HP ENVY 34-a010 34-Inch All-in-One Desktop...

                        HP (has problems)

[W]hat the heck were they thinking? It is a very slow and awkward drive. This computer, especially considering the size constraints of an All-in-One configuration, should have a lighting fast Solid State Drive (SSD). You can get a 1TB SSD, but if cost was a huge concern they should have at least had a 256MB or 500MB SSD with the 1 TB mechanical drive. SSDs work so much faster, and would have matched the visual aesthetic of the computer much better. This seems like it would have been such a no-brainer, you really wonder what they were thinking.

The computer has no optical drive, contrary to what some of the conflicting specs on Amazon say. This makes no sense. This is a visual machine, and a 21:9 aspect ratio begs for movies to be played on it. No DVD or BluRay player means that youâ??re stuck streaming over the internet, and again relying on your processor speed in part to get those videos showing. Seems an odd choice for how the machine is marketed.

"An exceptionally rich audio experience" from the Bang and Olufsen speakers is promised, but again, you get solid but mediocre performance. Itâ??s not bad..but itâ??s not great either. Iâ??ll be hooking up my Bose Companion 5 external speakers for better sound.

At the end of the day, my ASUS G-751JY laptop outperforms the HP Envy in every way, except screen size and overall looks. Itâ??s a Ferrari engine in a Lexus body, if you will. The HP Envy looks amazing and will take your breath away, causing Envy in everyone who sees your beautiful machine, looks like a Ferrariâ?¦but once you start to use it you find youâ??re driving a VW. Nothing wrong with that, but the frustration of seeing the potential of this beautiful machine will turn your Envy into anger. ..

First, I hate HP computers. They come pre-loaded with endless useless crap.

I think curved monitors might be cool, but what about when it comes to making detailed graphics? If you're making trade-show signage for example, will rectangles look curved? Is this a distraction?

I argued with my eye doctor once because glasses they gave me distorted my view of my monitors. It was nice and sharp, but curved and distorted. Useless.

I can see the value of having a big curved screen though. I have 2 x iMac 27's on my desk and they are angled towards me giving me a perfect view of both just by turning my head. If curved monitors can do the same thing but without distortion, I'd buy some.

                                                  AFAIK the 34" Samsungs are 3440 x 1440

btw the machine the OP posted only takes a max 16GB of RAM and has a 960A GPU, that would suck.

16GB RAM is the maximum and you're stuck with an under powered video card.

Get a Samsung 34" UWHD display and attach that to a machine with a decent video card.

I have a souped-up MacMini with hybrid drive (part SSD, part traditional HDD), 8 RAM, 2.6 processor. $1300 Add my own Monitor, mouse & keys.

The MacPro is a GB faster, and all SSD, but for 2x the cash, I'm liking my Mini for what it does.

I had a couple of iMac all in ones. They were great, but for travel, I like putting my Mini in my shoulderbag, for editing on the road.

The only time it slows down, is when a cam model on Chaturbate starts jackin' too fast. But is that ME, or them?

Unless for whatever reason you need every app/program on your computer running you don't need more than 16GB of ram.

The exception would be someone who needs several virtual machine instances up but even that's rare.

I'm sure it can be modified, the biggest complaint is the 2 TB spindle drive. I had a 1 TB spindle drive in my 2010 iMac and set aside a couple hours and changed it for a 1 TB SSD.
It made all the difference. I also upgraded from 8GB to 16GB.

My iMac makes no noise at all.
