I sincerely believe when you are in the right relationship, there is no reason for things to become "hard" or difficult. Some say you have to "work" at having a great relationship. If whatever it is you do, to please and show respect to your partner feels like "work" you are with the wrong person.

Appreciate the fact that the two of you "divorced" and now have another chance to find happiness with someone else. Look back on everything you loved and appreciated in the other person, and look for the same qualities in the next girl. Everything you hated about your partner, consider that as a "checklist" of things to look out for, in people's personalities.
