I've heard that girls are offering to do shows on webcam through Skype. They require payment first, upfront.

Anyone have any experience with this? What are the benefits? Cons? I would imagine it's a lot easier to get ripped off...

Mercedes has been offering 1 to 1 skype "conversations" already for a long time and is definitely an industry veteran. The price is $100 for 15min.

Skype pros:
1. one on one with the customer, more privacy
2. can cost the customer less while simultaneously the model can make more - win, win

Cons
1. Your IP address can be seen by your customer, so make sure to use a program such as Hotspot Shield or another VPN
2. Customers will have your Skype info, so they can pester you for freebies, best to stay invisible and be firm about not giving your time away for free
3. Possibility of being recorded

I have not found a reliable, cost effective enough payment processor to use without fronting the high startup costs for CC Bill so I only take Amazon gift cards. Make sure you enter the # into your account before you do the show if you use this method.
