I purchased a few of his guitars from him while he was doped up and in need of cash.

This particular one is probably his most famous. I think that I had authorization to pay upwards of $10k, but he was desperate and offered it up for about 1/4 of that.

I felt bad knowing his situation, but the guy I was working with was a junkie too and had no sympathy. Some of the money we saved would eventually find it's way into his syringe, which made more sense...to him at least.

He was clean for a while. Is that still working out for him?
