Reminds me of a similar (but not quite as drastic) act I did for a buddy many years ago.

We had gone to our favorite watering hole and he picked up on one of the choice numbers he was famous for. This one was not only a freak, but liked to leave her mark, in the way of a large hickey on his neck.

Since he had a long time favorite girlfriend, he was a little bummed as Liz was going to be pissed if/when she saw that.

What to do, what to do?

Gary's brilliant idea was to have me slug him repeatedly on the neck, over the hickey, in an attempt to cause bruising sufficient enough to cover the hickey. He would then tell her he had been in a fight.

While not convinced this was really going to work, I did as he requested since he was my best friend.

The results were less than desirable.

Us grapplers just say it was gi burn. Of course sometimes we legitimately get gi burn and the girlfriend refuses to believe that's what it is...
