It seems I don't have enough time in a day to take care of work and my personal shit. I have come to a conclusion that if I could get a part-time personal assistant my life would be a bit less stressful. I think I'd need someone for about 4 hours per week, which isn't much and might not be enough for someone to justify involvement. Has anyone dealt with a situation like this? What is a going pay rate for someone to schedule doctor/vet appointments and enter a receipts into QuickBooks? I don't have an office so this person would need to work from home.

No offense, but if you need someone for 4 hours per week and you can't do it yourself you are either a moron or lazy. Anyone can squeeze an extra 4 hours a week into their schedule. When it gets to 8-10 then come whining.

Anyone willing to drop their life and come work for you for only 4 hours per week is a moron too, so that being the case, $0.50/hr.

In one thread you're attacking someone that has had some pretty decent success in the industry, inferring that he's broke. And then in this thread you're saying someone who would like a little help is a moron?

Apparently you have never heard of house cleaners, gardeners, and handymen.

To the thread starter, check Craigs List for your locale. I have seen numerous services like this posted from my area, you may have some too. They'll pretty much do anything you need. Pick up groceries, shop for you, dry cleaning, prescriptions, little things around the house... anything you need help with.

If your time is worth more than there's, DO IT.
