I am looking to get a serious mega TGP built with 2 other partners. Both of them are newbies when it comes to marketing/traffic. I will be teaching them everything I know and some. The 3 of us are in house. We all live within 5-10 miles... How do you split up profits on a site?

Granted I already paid for the Design/Scripts/Hosting

My Job Marketing/Trades/Scripts/hosting/design/html

They would be coders/script installers/html labor/ideas

If the site becomes big (pulling in 1,000+) a day how do you split the income earned. How do you divide whos link codes go up.

1000 hit a day tgp won't have enough profits to buy you all mcdonalds. bit tgps get more like 100,000 or 200,000 hits a day.

sorry dude, but this is the funniest shit i've read in a long time...

you think you need 2 full time people to help with coding/script installing for a tgp? enough so to make them equal partners?

on top of that, you can forget about 1000$/day tgp... unless you started a long time ago, OR you know what you're doing...

if you are paying for everything, why would you take on 2 other partners for it? scripts only need to be installed once.... and as far as them helping with "ideas".... what "ideas" do you need help with? its a tgp.. pretty straight foreward.. not to much room to expand and be unique with a tgp... in my opinion anyways

if you can get a tgp to $1000 a day - or even $500 - it's gonna be about trades, marketing, and design. you can buy a really good trade script for $600. you can pay someone to write one for you for $5000. their other contribution - ideas? is that worth a partnership agreement - have their ideas proven of value?

I ment by 1,000 a day thats PROFIT... A big TGP for me is 150-200k Uniques a day. I have built and run TGP's I am working on SEO/Clicks/Flitering now. I have a clue thanx

A 200k a day tgp makes nowhere close to 1000 a day ... unless it's all bookmarks...

And if you are good at SEO, there are better ways to convert traffic then tgps

Just take out your initial investment off the beginning revenue and then split it 3 ways after that. You can have your two partners manually making myspace profiles all day and then directing that traffic to your tgp, that way you keep them busy enough to justify splitting with them.

Yeah, It does make sense as far as 3 people is a lot of man power.. Yes it is. If they knew about this biz. 1 of them is a programer for me the other is very smart when it comes to hardware/troubleshooting/server side troubleshooting. but 0 experince when it comes to what is needed.

This is more like I help them learn by being a partner. down the road they can always help me.

Teach them how to build galleries and submit how to trade traffic with TGP's so when the day comes the can look back and see I started them in this biz they will be forever greatfull and help me if I need something =)

Well right now there is no way in hell to start a tgp and expect to make 1k a day from it ... unless you got mad skills, lots of new ideas and a lot of money to invest in growing it ...

I'll try to give an answer to your question......

Knowledge is a very powerfull tool in this biz, since you have 99.9% of the knowledge in this venture i would split the profit in your favour.

You could setup a time-table like this:

Since you are the one mastering this venture at start you could start with this setup:
50% you
25% one of them
25% the other one

As time passes and they gain more knowledge and start to work on their own without getting help from you, oyu could change the setup:
40% you
30% one of them
30% the other

If things are running smooth and you have about the same workload go for:
34% you
33% one of them
33% the other

Hope you got an answer to your question for ones instead of people having a go at your idea in this thread

You get a tgp script like AutoGallery or whatever and then a traffic script like Tm3 and then you just manage those script doesnt take that anytime at all so why someone would want to be 3 people on a tgp is a little weird to me.

A decent tgp that actually makes money needs the following:
-a good brandable name/domain name
-nice design
-strategically placed ads
-lots of quality traffic
-someone who is not an idiot behind the wheel running the show

These are things that im sure you do not have.

If you were smart, you would give your friends partner account and let them submit galleries to your super mega big tgp site. that way they can learn how thigns work.

In the mean time, i will be waiting for your super mega big tgp site that rivals the hun to be unleashed. I expect a free partner account.

Pay them a flat fee to set it up or whatever and do it yourself. Don't fuck around with percentages...someone will get burned.
