hartman
saw it Saturday , going back on Monday. I want to watch it inside a tardis so I can have the screen as big as I want, my chair plugged into a n64 rumble pack and a 100000kw sound system so I can hear all the bass noize real good. What a fuken trip. If any of my family say they didn't like it I'm taking them to the clinic to see if there is any sign of mental activity. ------------------ All your hits belong to me. |

pathetic ... how can someone not like that movie
![]() that movie is almost as good as the books, and that's something considering the masterpiece tolkien's work was! tanker, pure marketting... they save money by making the 3 movies at once, and they gain money by putting them all 3 in the Xmas season, the best season for movies... if they had put it all in the same week, people would have forgotten the movie one year from now, hence lower toys/commercials, etc. profits.. ![]() but they should have done it lol.. read the two first books back to back in less than a week... but now I'll have to wait a year for the sequel to this movie hehe |

Or they didn't like the way the script totally mutilated Tolkiens work, like I did. It'd probably take me half an hour to list the problems JUST IN THE FIRST MOVIE! I can't imagine what they're going to do to the next two. I know I won't be bothering to go see them.

Actually, while the actual shooting of the other two films is done it is untrue to say that the movies are done.
Jackson is a very hands on director. He does a lot of the sound and editing and such himself. It will probably take him the best part of the next year to fully complete the next film. Also..no film adaptation (notice that word) is going to be 100 percent faithful to the written text. The two mediums have different needs that can't be over come. I thought it was great...could any of us done any better? ------------------ Sjayne's Quality Porn Links - Have Free Sites? Submit them to my new link list. Adaptation is one thing, slavishly adding hollywood-isms is another. Notice how the final battle at the end was thrown in? Well, we wouldn't want to actually have the heroes not participating, never mind that it was totally Boromir's gig, gotta get Legolas and Gimli and Strider fighting..
Not to mention the fact that every bit of the first books where the hobbits prove that they are more than comic relief is completely cut.. The Wight, the Old Forest, Frodo driving off the Witch-King (I can't believe they had Aragorn rescue them, now that was really appalling.. He can take 5 Nazgul all by himself, but can't take a troll or a tough orc without real difficulty. Bullshit hollywood fucking shit.) The movie really disgusted me, it could have been so great. As for whether I could have done better - possibly, if I didn't have hollywood shitheads (with the money) saying "Add more action!" "Gotta have a love interest!" "Make the hobbits funnier!" like whoever directed this movie did... I give it 2/5 - it would have been great if it wasn't LOTR, but as it is, it's a desecration of a great book by mediocre hack screenwriters. LOTR was indeed a great movie, best movie i've seen in a long time. If you read the books before, hit alt-f4 and go watch the damn movie now. If you have never the read the books, well, don't cry about the movie not having an ending.

The movie was OK but Oceans 11 held my interest better. Through the entire movie I kept thinking about Anal Hobbit and Dildo Baggins.

what i usually do is pay for 1 movie, and after that is over, we sneak into another movie. I like to think of it as the 2 for 1 special, just for me!
my favorite 2 for 1 specials this week have been the majestic and behind enemy lines |
