Actually, while the actual shooting of the other two films is done it is untrue to say that the movies are done.
Jackson is a very hands on director. He does a lot of the sound and editing and such himself. It will probably take him the best part of the next year to fully complete the next film.
Also..no film adaptation (notice that word) is going to be 100 percent faithful to the written text. The two mediums have different needs that can't be over come. I thought it was great...could any of us done any better?
