in the review they are right about the "whole plastic" interior though. US car companies like GM should really make the interior of higher quality.

Top Gear is the most awesome television show ever made. They even have tested the Maybach on that circuit! There is a website with a shitload of movies of the show. Going to see if I can find them.

LoL in that video they make comparison of the C6 "LeafSprings" to that of horse/chariot springs...the technology in that vette is not old, its completely new...youd be hard pressed to call them old technology...Hell im willing to bet that the damn driver in that car wasnt very skilled...Lets get an actual american driver over there...Somebody from C&D or One of Linginfelter's thugs....Then lets see the vette com in third and have messy lap...wont happen...

Compared to Britain, you don't. American "sports" cars are notorious the world over for being very fast in a straight line, but handling like shit if they encounter the slightest hint of a corner.

And the reason they seem to be constantly criticising everything is because, unlike US motoring journalists, they don't care if they might annoy the car companies. I subscribe to "Top Gear", "Car" and "Evo" from the UK, and "Car & Driver" and "Road & Track" from the US - in the past three years I have NEVER seen a bad review of a car in a US car magazine or on US television, and there have been plenty of bad cars...

Looks like most of you don't understand British humor. Look at some more video's and take their comment with a grain of salt.

"but europe already has a porsche 911. it's called... a porsche 911."

he's the best part of top gear

and righthandman, i think anyone from lingenfelter would agree with the host...

americans suck at building cars. look at the luxury and performance you get from the same money elsewhere. even between a vette and an m3 (off the top of my head there's surely a better example) the vette has only a half a second better 0-60... but nearly twice the sized engine. plus the inside of a vette may as well be a cavalier with leather whereas the bmw is just gorgeous.

you've got to love classic muscle though. in that time, we had everyone beaten.

Just to make you poor Americans feel better, the price for the C6 Vette in the UK was quoted as £40,000.

That's about $72000. The base price of the C6 Vette in the US is $43,445...

Oh, and gas in the UK costs about $8 per gallon...

I agree. But they don't talk about the comparative price of a 'Vette to the other cars they're comparing. They are cheaper by a long shot. Especially in the States...which makes them a better value, even though some lower quality materials are used.

The NSX is nice but wayyy over priced. Plus it's a honda.
