When you have the flu you need to stay well hydrated. Drinking can dehydrate you.

when i caught mono a couple years ago i for some reason decided to go to the strippers for ym friends bday,

i barely made it there, ordered a beer and had a few sips and felt like my insides were melting. then proceeded to fall asleep.

so the answer is no, probly not good at all. rest cures everything.

last week , I had a flu of some sort , couldnt decide whether intoxicating myself in my choosen manner would be a good idea or if I'd end up puking like a maniac all day .

, but I did . and I FELT great .

Go for it . but if you blow chunks all over and have a bad night don't blame me LOL .. my stomach can take it .

#2 chase your whiskey with water instead of beer so you stay hydrated
#3 no titty bars or you die from mono

Well, it's a waste of money to take antibiotics if you are going to drink, like Fletch said.

On the other hand, my granny used to cook us up a toddy of Jack Daniels, honey and lemon juice when we had a sore throat or a cold. Then she'd stick us in bed under a shitload of blankets and make us 'sweat it out'.

I didnt care too much for being sick at her house lol.
