Why is it that after updating windows...

Seems like everytime I update windows, via SP's things get gradually slower and slower with each patch, hotfix or service pack.

I used to be just fine with my system, but lately I've had the feeling its slow & getting to the point where it's hard to work with.

I think it's a conspiracy to get us to buy new computers

I installed SP1 the other day and it slowed my comp down by about 15%. I had to do a system restore to before I installed it, it was really getting on my nerves. I'm pretty sure you can just do all the small updates and it does the same

As the computers get faster, the progamming gets sloppier. Takes just as long to do something now as it did back on the 386/486 systems years ago. Seems like every step forward taken with the hardware, the software takes a step back.

Not so much on FreeBSD
