Plus, just the other day an American troop died fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan. But of course, nobody knows this stuff unless you read news closely or are specifically looking for information.

It's quite simple, it's fucking George Bush who started calling chem and bio weapons, weapons of mass destruction. Damn near half the world has them so it's a dumbass rationale. Saddam doesn't have any nukes and he wouldn't get any in the near future, however Iran sure has a nuclear reactor or two and they are chugging away on some bombs with the help of Russia, China and N Korea.

A good chunk of their food comes from aid and other imports. Maybe that will begin to change over the upcoming years, as a more stable and legitimate government comes into place.
