Why in the world did we not knock out their television and radio broadcast on day one?????

Hate to arm chair quarterback here but, I have not heard one reason that made sense to me on this matter.We allowed them to spin this and gain further support; rally their people; show the dead, and the list goes on and on..

Can someone answer this for me?Surely we have the ability?
Even if it delayed other operations for a few days.
I just don't get it.

Because during the first few days, the US was sending radio programming to Iraqis telling them stuff like how good in bed George Bush is, and how many times Donald Rumsfeld has been anally penetrated by Colin Powell.

Sure thing.

The Iraqi television and radio was left "online" for several reasons.

Remember the various speeches from the great leader, Saddam? Our intelligence was feeding off of those speeches, and other reports, to try and get a feel of what's going on in the inside and how to attack it. Someone attacking you? Watch their news. You'll find great information on where to hit the opponent best. I bet Saddam is tuned into our news 24/7.

Another reason: after the coalition takes over Iraq, the coalition will need a way to speak to the people. The TV and radio is the perfect way to do that. Saddam used the TV as a great propaganda tool, so can be.

The recent attempts to knock out their TV were due to the propaganda and POW videos that were being shown on Iraqi TV.

Afterwards, we'll need to build their TV infrastructure back up to speak to the people, which shouldn't be too hard.
