PSW - still not processing checks

Check signups are still offline after more than 2 weeks.

No notification to webmasters that they were disabling them.

No ETA, I have asked twice now.

PSW are just my crappy backup mastercard processor now... but until this 'issue' they were also doing my check processing.

They've already had their turn at fucking me over, it's really just the principle now: they did not notify webmasters of the disabling of one of the payment methods. We had to find out by logging in to check out stats. Customer support couldn't even tell me when the gap started.

Somehow I'm not surprised. I'm still waiting for a response from my "Email us for more information" email on that Friday where they sent out that shit and packed up and went home for the weekend... That was well over a month ago, no?

I also like how they're charging us $2.00 to issue a check. If your check is the minimum payout, $50.00, that's an ADDITIONAL 2% on top of the 13.5% they already rape you for on CC. I guess that affiliate program of theirs is hurting them so they have to gouge somewhere, eh?

achdebit and electracash both specialize in check processing and claim to have 40-50% real-time verification. Both process US and Canada checks.

Probilling has a new guaranteed payout check option which seems promising also.

Anyone have experience with all 3?

Hi

Netbilling can handle your check processing while PSW is not. Our rates are lower than any other. Mention GFY and there is not setup fee.

Toll Free within the US: (888)357-8166
Outside the US: (661)252-2456

ICQ: 117496436

Thank you, Mitch Farber

Check signups are still down after a month.

I changed my check signups to another processor long ago, so I was laughing about this until now. PSW disable checks, can't tell me when it happened, can't tell me why they didn't notify webmasters, can't tell me when they will be available again.

However! I've just realised that CHECK REBILLS ARE NOT BEING PROCESSED.

Not laughing any more.

Shades of the international Visa 'issue' again. Members, enjoy your unpaid access while PSW decide to get around to billing you for it.

I set up probilling on Monday. They will not help me with a technical issue I have. They are useless. WTS had my site set up with checking less then 12 hours after I requested it. I would not even consider probilling. Useless dickwads wasted a week of my time....

ProBilling IS worthless! As a former user of their "service"..I can vouch for that. Technical support is non-existent. Heck, you can't even get an email answered, and if you call them, you always get this dumb as who says "I dunno anything about it..you need to contact Colin or someone else"..and of course, Colin and the rest of the losers there never respond.

Sorry you got burned, but to anyone else, STAY AWAY from ProBilling.com! They lost their merchant account last November, and then started heavy duty scrubbing in December and have not let up.

The statement I got from PSW regarding their checks option when I inquired...

Quote:
We have recently removed our ACH program (online checks) to make some
updates to the system due to numerous complaints regarding ACH from
webmasters. We will be launching a new improved online check system
shortly.
That was weeks ago.

Jact,

We can set you up for check processing fairly quickly and you will get paid your check settlements 5 days a week with our system. Also, the rates are exceptional.

No setup fee if you mention GFY.

It surprises me that anyone could have technical issues with such an easy to use system as what Probilling has set up. I was doing live transactions two hours after I signed up. It just doesn't get any easier. And right after I signed up, THEY called ME to welcome me and answer any questions I had. I have never had such personal attention. I am extremely happy with their service and system and wanted to put in my

re: mitchspam

Some people say Mitch is a bot. I think this proves he's actually a human doing keyword searches on threads. As soon as he sees a suitable msg he pounces, then moves onto the next search result.

A *real* robot would keep records of which threads it had already posted to, of course!

They can't tell me how they add passwords to my password file. They don't install a .cgi program on my server. They said something about an API passing along a ding dong dang, and a whipper snap fart will let customers into my members area. I have never seen a setup like this, and I have set up many billers in the past. I ask them how to set it up, never heard back from them. Fuck 'em.

The API that they're talking about would be the cgi/php program that you're looking for. It's just the terminology that people who don't know shit about the web use because that's what the proper name is. Not that I'm defending them, their tech support people should know how the hell to get you setup.

This is what they sent me:

"Hi p00p,

We don't employ a CGI script that would reside on your server due to security issues with this method of password managment. We do however offer a form post method for transaction notification and an API used for passing hidden variables and passing non sensitive variables to a success or failure URL.

WHAT THE FUCK? My success URL is my members area. But they cannot explain how the un/pw gets added to my .htpasswd file. It is in a directory that cannot be FTP'd into, but can be read and written to by cgi scripts.

Never, not once...even with the ccbill and ibill exploit have I had a problem with cgi scripts....

<b>PSW check processing update</b>

Word from Eileen Hindmon is that "as far as she knows" checks are still being processed.

She is of course, wrong.

I went through my transaction list and found several missed rebills. The earliest scheduled rebill I could find was supposed to happen on January 30th, 2003, so they stopped processing rebills some time prior to this date.

Check forms were suddenly removed (without noticed) in late February. It appears they stopped rebilling around a month before the check signup option disappeared.

All of my check customers have so far been enjoying around 2 months worth of unbilled access to my site.

PSW clients - even ex clients with recurring charges still active - go through your February 2003 transactions and see if you can find any check rebills. Am I the only one, or is everyone missing them?

I'm just about to completely remove PSW from my sites, but the legacy of fucked up rebills and free access lives on.

Sorry to hear that Rowan. I'm not really surprised either. Eileen has her head and half a city block up her ass apparently. She's never gotten anything right when I asked her. I don't know why they would push 100% of customer support through her when she's so completely not cut out for it.
