90" TVs? Anyone suggest a brand?

Anyone have experience with the larger sizes? I have a Sharp Aquos 70" and 80", but I'm not sure if the 90" is the same. It seems different:

https://www.sharpusa.com/ForHome/Hom...C90LE657U.aspx

Looking for a strong recommendation on a pair of 90" TVs.

Sharp has always been a favorite for over 20 years I think now. I really don't see how you could go wrong with any size.
I only have a 50 inch now, but when I upgrade, I can put that one in my garage

This TV looks different than the 70" and 80" versions, so I am wary. If I buy two of them, I don't want to hate them in a month. I was hoping someone already had them and could let me know. My local stores only carry the 80" versions, the 90" has to be special-ordered.

Went with a pair of the LC-90LE657, Amazon said it was the newer model. Fingers crossed, it's coming FOB.

Once you start getting up to that size you'd have to wonder if a projector might be better if you have the room (lighting) for it. I've got a 120 inch in my basement and it makes my 70 inch LED look tiny.

Anything 80 inches and over you start paying a ridiculous premium for the size alone, even if the internals are nothing special.

Agreed. In my loft at the lakehouse, I had a projector set up, and it was fantastic for movies and gaming. Maybe I'll set one up by the pool down here in Florida.

No problem, baller! When (if) I get to your level, I'll hit ya up!

Did you see the ridiculous TV with the curvature? I think it's 120"+. The one the directory stumbled over his lines and walked out on.

I wasn't either, but it was on a different place on the site, so it sketched me out. In the end, I just gambled that I'll like them. I only needed two, I'm not replacing all of them, it's an unnecessary treadmill.

Good point. You'd be surprised how many people here have them, though. Judging from Skype, the number is more than zero.

I do really need to join a forum that isn't GFY, though. I'm so ... GFY-centric for my foruming.

I never buy a TV without first seeing a display in action and making sure all the settings aren't effed up from kids playing with the buttons.

Whenever you see a tv in a store, it is set up via engineer's menu for 'store setting'. Totally different from home use. And if kids have messed up the settings, you have two options a) don't buy the model from the shop floor, b) press RESTORE TO FACTORY PRESETS.

I go by reviews on decent home cinema forums.
