Interesting cell phone scam call I got today.
My phone rings and when I answer it I get a recorded message saying it was from Key bank and that my debit card was in a database that has been compromised. It asks me to push 1 to continue. I do and I get another recording asking me to enter the numbers for my card.
I hung up. The main problem with the scam is that I don't use Key Bank. I used to, but I haven't in well over 10 years. Still, I wonder how many people just blindly enter their card number? |

Yeah, the only time my card was compromised I got a call from the bank. It was an actual person and she told me what happened and told me they had put a stop on my card and sent me a new one.

FYI Any time your card is comprised your bank kills the card. They may call you to let you know but there's nothing you can do online or by phone to fix it except to go to your bank to get a new one or to have your bank send you a new one.
