Interesting cell phone scam call I got today.
My phone rings and when I answer it I get a recorded message saying it was from Key bank and that my debit card was in a database that has been compromised. It asks me to push 1 to continue. I do and I get another recording asking me to enter the numbers for my card.
I hung up. The main problem with the scam is that I don't use Key Bank. I used to, but I haven't in well over 10 years. Still, I wonder how many people just blindly enter their card number? |
thats a creative one
whenever my bank card is compromised i get a recording saying to visit my branch for a new one |
Yeah i heard of this scam a few weeks ago , also getting a lot of emails saying your bank account has been put on hold please email us your card # , ssn, etc... yeah ok

FYI Any time your card is comprised your bank kills the card. They may call you to let you know but there's nothing you can do online or by phone to fix it except to go to your bank to get a new one or to have your bank send you a new one.

I think the Nigerians are way better... who doesn't fall their tricks at least once a week?
Btw, in stead of one... it seems I have even 2 rich dead uncles in Nigeria... lucky me! |
