2. You click the paperless option for monthly statements.

3. Then you try to look up 5 years of statements and it's not online.

4. Then you request the statements be printed for those months.

5. Then they charge you $2 per statement for a total of $120

Same applies to bills with utility companies or others. In theory they could go back and change a pastbill to show something in their favor. Since you have no legitimate paper copies, what proof will you have otherwise? It's good to always get a paper bill unless there is no chance of there ever being a dispute of some sort and the amount due is always fixed.

I am done with US banks, don't know the others, but US banks are all BS scams these days, only problem I had was where to cash checks, all the check cashing places in Phily I tried like a 100 no lie don't cash checks anymore, but I found one close to me that is great and open long hours 6 days a week and charges less than 1%. They also have a visa reloadable card that the fee's are tiny compared to my bank, so now I am done with banks and their bs $35 for nothing overdrafts and other bs. Not like you make any money on the interest unless you have a billion in the bank for months or years at a time anyway.

last month one account.... $600.00 in deposits.... 105.00 dollars in purchases.......$495.00 in fees

and they try to defend those numbers while they speak for them self.... I spent $105.00 bucks of my money that the bank was holding, and the rest they suck from me in fees!

If I go in your pocket and take 495.00 of your 600.00 I will be charged with robbery if I survive the ass beating..

Funny thing is I have multiple neighbors across the street down the street, same side of street, all having negative bank account balances at precisely the same times!

Sort of like when your billing company allows you 3 days of double digit form submissions and they are immediately followed by 2 days of zero form submissions, no matter what day,month,traffic...

I tell you all of this shit is rigged, and is becoming more obvious to the astute, even the not so astute are waking up to the fact that banks and financial companies are financially raping the masses...

Had the same thing almost happen to me once (Citibank). When they told me the price I complained about it, politely. THe original agent was unable to do anything but the supervisor cleared it up right away. We got all of our documents for free.

I would recommend a local credit union for those of you that are using national banks and having trouble. Keep the money local, usually get better service as well.

I don't have a saving account anymore because they are a joke, but when I did and was charged fees, BOA always credited me back.

Also when I overdrafted, I contacted BOA and they credited me back for the fee.

i'm kinda with you on this, been with bofa for >decade now and as long as things run smooth, they run smooth. but when there is a hiccup, having to deal with them is a major ordeal.

and i am also concerned with the aig lawsuit, looks like bofa will have to cough up several billion dollars due to scamming aig on bad investment instruments.

NOT a trick. My bank at least tells you that they only keep the last 18 months. I'm sure your bank has a similar statement somewhere. Just because you chose to ignore the fine print doesn't mean you got fucked over.

First off... I know you use tdbank because that is what they do. You obviously went "close" to under as some point and made many transactions in a 2 day period.

They (tdbank) used to put all withdraw transactions at the front of the processing... they also would put the largest first... meaning, ...

If mortgage or rent for 2,000 hit on the 15th... they would put that first and if your account was less then that it would be in the negative...

then...

they would suck transactions from the 14th, 15th and 16th and put them before any deposit of money was made during any of that time period. TDBank would easily steal $500 if not more from their total bullshit "covering of funds" policy.

Swirlsgirl... you have a point with your local bank... my suggestion is to get hooked up with a credit union that actually cares. I found one in Montgomery county and they are by far the best bank I have dealt with.

Wells Fargo statements are available on line for 7 years back from the current. (if you choose paperless option)

otherwise you could only go back 12 months online

They retain that data for at least seven years, probably forever.

I still do not understand why it cannot be available online. I should be able to type "target" into the search box and pull up every Target check card transaction ever. Same with check and deposit images.

One thing I do love is the Bank of America search feature (even though it doesn't go back as far as I'd like). You can type just about anything and find what you're looking for.
