What would be a respectable bounce rate for a website?

				 | To give you an idea, my Nikki Jayne website has a bounce rate of 22%. I took have pondered this concept of bounce rate and have done a lot of reading up on it and testing things out. I've read several things but I would say that consider 50% average and shoot for 25%. Anything over 50% you really really need to improve the overall quality of your website.

				 | It depends on what page you send the visitor to and the relevance of the ad or keyword they came from. If you buy traffic try to use google website optimizer with multivariable testing om your landingpages. |

				 | I worry more about my page views and time on than the bounce. One of the blogs has 3.81 pages per and almost 11 min

				 | Time on I believe is a better measure of RELEVANT visitors and their actions. I think it's much better to check that. 5-6 mins and you got something going. (my opinion) |

				 | I'll have to echo the idea that visitor time on site is a better indicator of interest. The bounce rate is a great tool for you to determine whether your landing pages can be optimized in a way that keeps your visitors on the page once they arrive. When testing different site layouts, scripts, and etc, you may find that there are elements of your landing pages that scare off visitors or otherwise make them leave. Identifying and rectifying these flaws will lead to a lower bounce rate and more interested visitors. |

				 | What would be some ways to improve this bounce rate? Like you said depending on where my traffic is coming from > I average between 13.6% and 68% .. I would like to stay at about 10% all time. Should I work on improving the tour pages or the over site including members area? Thanks for the help |
