To give you an idea, my Nikki Jayne website has a bounce rate of 22%. I took have pondered this concept of bounce rate and have done a lot of reading up on it and testing things out.

I've read several things but I would say that consider 50% average and shoot for 25%. Anything over 50% you really really need to improve the overall quality of your website.
