Adult Site Basics

Hello i am starting an adult video sharing website, and dont really have experience in the adult industry for websites however have much in normal sites. Just wanted to know if anyone can help me out or guide me somewhere to get some good info on just basic business such as how they first start getting traffic, where they find their advertisers, affiliate programs, start up stories etc etc.
Most important is how you promote an adult site, it will be free site and just wondering how to spark some traffic to it in the beginning.

All help appreciated thank you.

First things first. You want to start an Adult Video Sharing website, how much video content have you bought?

Or is the plan to hopefully have "users" uploading illegal stolen videos? Every peice of video out there is OWNED by somebody, something some new people may not understand.

"Its just a free site", sure, but if you plan on sharing video content, we gotta ask, what do you own that you can share?

Well the problem is, where are you going to get your content? You can a) buy it but that will cost you a LOT of money b) steal it but that could cost you way more money in legal fees and possibly in some cases even jail time or c) you can use (with permission) FHG from affiliate programs (in accordance with their rules and regulations as per use of that content).

So you need to not only figure out how you are going to get traffic to your new website, but also where you are going to get the content. That is the critical first step that so many over look and find themselves in such hot water over.

Upload of stolen content, some crappy user submitted stuff and a good place to hide.... but this is just my opinion....

i just started a video site with these guys > http://bigdotmedia.com/ they have some addons which let you import short teaser videos (legally) from several sponsors, but its a good program to start with while you figure out the other basics

good luck
