VOD $ites?

What's the best way to make money from a Video On Demand site? Providers such as AEBN and Hotmovies offer affiliate programs where you can create your own theatres.

So if I create a theatre, such as "Fat Ass Booties"....then what? Do I have to purchase a domain for this theatre and then try to market it as an independent theatre?

Hi tomwil

The Big Boys normally just purchase the exclusive rights to the content and or they just re-brand the content; such being the pictures and or movies provided to them by such companies and or individuals making such content...

If you are an associate of the content producing company like http://www.hustlercash.com , http://vivid.com also I should not leave out http://adult.com , since they run this site ^^ , they will have promotional content for webmasters to promote their programs and will most likely allow you to create custom theaters...

The companies who do not make the content, but who resell such products and or services may not be as professional as the content producers and you might run across fly-by-night adult "services" who might have legal issues... It would be best to stay with those companies who are known to be the leaders for legal reasons...

Providing you have the time and energy... and providing you know how to write in HTML you should be able to design theater(s) that you like...

There are many admin types from different companies here to ask your questions...

Best of luck,

Companies like HotMovies and AEBN are essentially like sponsors with a revshare program and custom front-ends. Their business model is different from the subscription type and can be sold in different ways.

How you would make money with them would mainly depend on what you are good at doing.

If you are good at getting traffic, then send that traffic to a custom theatre with either or both of them.

If you produce content, then send them videos and they will sell those videos to their customers and you get paid a percentage.

If you have a lot of resources, you could build your own VOD site and try to compete in that market. :P

I'm not completely sure if I understand your question, but hopefully that helps somehow.

Doc,

Your post was right on point! It's all about directing traffic to them and letting them convert it. At least that's what I got from your post. Actually, that sounds alot like most affiliates. The exception is quality of the revshare!

I believe people will come back to a site when there is no membership and they only have to pay for what they want to see.
